Within an hour... we left. Don’t stay here. During the online booking process we were on the fence about staying here. We were attracted to the idea of surfing lessons right at the hotel and we can tolerate a tired building, so we decided to book 3 nights (one couple with two kids). When we arrived we found out this wasn’t a good idea... there was a silence that fell upon the family when we arrived (later to find out that we were each waiting for another to suggest we stay elsewhere). There are plenty of details in other reviews of concerns (if you want details) and it turns out they are accurate! Looking back at the advertised photos we understand how tactfully placed signs and flashy banners can improve the online impression. After we arrived and experienced the rooms, the common areas and the beach access, it was not a fit. So we had a huddle and started to work on finding another place to stay. The hotel staff was understanding and with the great help of Travelocity we were refunded for 2 of the 3 night stays. Although it was disappointing, and frustrating to have to find another place to stay, we were thankful to find something else that was comfortable for the next 3 nights.
