Our group of 5 adults and 2 children had an excellent stay at Villa des Herondais.The location was ideal: 10 minutes to beach, 5 minutes to town, and short drive to Super-U. The villa was as described in the listing. The outside area was on the small side (as seen in the photos) but sufficient. A couple of additional sunbeds or loungers would not go amiss. The pool is 6m x 3m with a nice wide ledge at one end, useful for sitting and reading or the very young. Dealing with the host ROSE Conciergerie was efficient but had a corporate feel rather than a more personalised one from an owner host. For example, on arrival we questioned why only one hand towel was provided to share among seven occupants (two bathrooms and kitchen). There was a curt reply saying that seven (bath) towels were provided. Similarly, a note to say that we were surprised there was no corkscrew (this is France!) among the utensils was completely ignored. There was plenty cutlery and crockery.An area of confusion was the air-con. The listing says no air-con, but several reviews mentioned air-con. As our stay was during a possible heatwave, we asked ROSE to clarify whether there was air-con to which we received a categorical 'no'. So we pre-ordered two fans,15 each p/w. The fans were good but too powerful and noisy for use in bedrooms. Each of the two (double-bed) bedrooms and the living area actually had a heating/cooling unit down to 18C, It felt like air-con to us! 60 wasted! Otherwise a great stay.
