The overall cleanliness is just not good. Debris in kitchen drawers, debris in all sliding doors, stained gross blinds in primary, stains on both mattress covers. zero cleaning supply smell in any room.
I booked this cabin for my sisterâs family to stay in and this is her reviewâŠ
We were disappointed in the Chalet and the communication we experienced. The email with check-in instructions listed the address as Treetopper. We spent an hour trying to find our way until we realized the correct address is Treetop (Big Canoe has both a treetop and treetopper). The email sent video driving instructions which was nice but not helpful with no phone service.
On arrival Wednesday, we noticed a mildew like smell. There was a large cardboard mattress box lying on the bedroom floor and dead roach in the closet. The stairs to the laundry room were dirty with dust/dead spiders. There was hair on the shower floor. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and we noticed 3 pods on the bottom and realized the dishwasher was broken. The glasses on the shelf did not look clean. This was surprising considering the additional cleaning fee charged and that âall cabins and condos are professionally cleanedâ. We were exhausted that night from the long drive and fell asleep.
Thursday morning my husband called and reported the smell, cleaning issues, and dishwasher. He was told someone would get back to him. We never received any contact that day.
Friday morning my husband called and was told someone would be sent out. He told that person to have them call to speak to us first to confirm a time since we were heading out. We got a text an hour later that someone was onsite and couldnât get in. Since we were on a pontoon, we texted the number back and said we will return in 2.5 hours.
When we returned, my husband called for an update. He was told someone would be there âshortlyâ. Forty minutes later he called again to confirm someone was coming. We were told someone is âdefinitelyâ coming. No one showed up.
Saturday the smell was worse and we were still frustrated with the lack of cleanliness and broken dishwasher. We called twice on Saturday and were unable to reach anyone.
Sunday morning before checkout we called and spoke to Nicole. She stated that in her notes there was no mention of cleaning or smell issues- only the dishwasher and was not apologetic nor helpful in a resolution.
I would not recommend staying here for the above reasons. If the property manager would like to reach out to us, we would be happy to have a conversation regarding our experience and I hope that changes are made for future vacationers who visit this beautiful community.
Over all the property was nice. I am a clean person, so I look to see if bed, bathroom and kitchen is clean. Kitchen passed with flying colors! Bed and bathroom wellđ€đ€đ€ there was hair in the bed and bathroom. There was clean lien available but I washed the lien đ I would ask that the property manager make sure their cleaning person does a Thorough job. The property manager was hands on and available if we needed him. Thank you for that! Other than that Love Love Loveđ
Beautiful space. Comfortable mattresses, nice furniture and decor. Could definitely have been more clean in bathrooms and kitchen. Linens
and duvet should be bleached to get rid of stains. Communication shotty with issues upon arrival and first day but finally responded noon the second day.
