Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The room did not appear to be as described or depicted on the website. They said they would change me to a better room in 2 days. However on the Sunday I was awoken with loud drilling the other side of the wall to my bed head. There had been no mention of a building site next door on the hotels.com website. I was asked to go and look at another room which was being cleaned. When I walked in two staff members were sitting on the bed smoking, despite the hotel displaying signs saying strictly no smoking. There was no way I could stay in that room which stank of smoke, but was accommodated eventually in a smaller room away from the building noise. I asked for a part rebate for the lower level room but this was not forthcoming.
Beware they have a strict no refund policy and were very hardline in any discussion despite hotels.com trying to advocate for me.
