Nestled in the quiet town of Jewett in the Catskill Mountains, Woodpecker House is a peaceful retreat with convenient access to nearby towns and activities. Hunter and Windham are just 10 minutes away, offering skiing, hiking, and great dining options year-round. Spend your days enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, then unwind with a shared meal, games by the fire, or a relaxing soak in the hot tub under the stars—perfect for making lasting memories.

Set on nearly 3 acres with year-round mountain views, Woodpecker House offers space to unwind and explore. Enjoy the open front lawn for outdoor activities or wander into the woods behind the property.

The deck features a large wooden farm table and a Weber gas grill—perfect for outdoor dining. You’ll also find a hot tub, a spacious fire pit, and a picturesque vintage ski gondola.

Enter through a welcoming foyer with room for shoes, jackets, and ski gear, then step into the lower-level entertainment space. Here you’ll find a games area with a vintage arcade and foosball, a dry bar for mixing drinks, and a cozy wood-burning stove, along with a TV. This level also includes a queen bedroom, a full bathroom with shower, and a laundry closet with washer and dryer.

Upstairs, the main living area features an open layout with vaulted ceilings and a stunning wall of windows framing the mountain views. Relax by the fireplace, watch a movie on the 75-inch TV, play board games, or enjoy music on the record player. A large dining table and a fully equipped kitchen with bar seating complete the space. Step out onto the balcony for morning coffee, birdwatching, or stargazing.

The main level also includes a full bathroom and three bedrooms, each with a queen bed, Zinus memory foam mattress, topper, and high-quality linens. Sustainable bath amenities from Public Goods are provided. Please note: A/C is available in the main living areas but not in the bedrooms.

We had a wonderful stay! The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-stocked with everything we needed. Such a great house!

Everything was amazing, the house was beautiful and clean, the jacuzzi was the highlight of the day, we made a delicious BBQ and watched movies from the 00s in the huge TV in the living room. I would 100% stay at Phillips place again!

Phillip's property was so well designed with many thoughtful details. The kitchen was excellent as were the living areas and bedrooms. We really enjoyed it for a family get together for Mom's birthday.

We loved our stay at the Woodpecker! So much attention to detail and comfortable spaces. The pictures are only a small taste of what is in store for the next guests. Would love to see the space in the winter to utilize the fireplaces, looks so cozy!

This property was perfect for our stay in the area. We completely enjoyed getting away from our hectic schedules to enjoy nature. The property was centrally located to the hiking sites we planned to visit. We utilized the upstairs fireplace and the hot tub. We can’t say enough great things about this property!

Beautiful house

The house is absolutely beautiful from top to bottom, and the owners have taken extreme care to make it feel luxurious. From a well stocked kitchen & bar, to the collection of board games, and even plenty of towels through the house, every detail has been seen to, and it made for a wonderful stay. We would be thrilled to visit again in the future!

Magical Cabin

The Woodpecker House was even better than the pictures. We were 2 families (4 adults and 4 kids) and the house was absolutely perfect - comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and bar, awesome games, a relaxing hot tub. Beautiful home

This home is so beautiful and exactly like in the pictures. The hosts have thought of everything to entertain and to make you feel like home. It has so many features like a bar, jacuzzi, and outdoor fire pit that we didn't get to use but more reason for us to return! There's so many towns close by that we go to explore. It is a perfect getaway place!

Dream Catskills Getaway

We had a fantastic weekend away in this amazing, bright, curated home. An added bonus was a fresh covering of snow which made way for sledding, a proper winter jacuzzi, and provided a cinematic backdrop to games of Balderdash. Just a few minutes from grocery stores, restaurants, Hunter and Windham. Highly recommended!

Romantic getaway

I took my girlfriend here for a romantic getaway for her birthday because she wanted to be in the woods with a jacuzzi and fireplace. The bed was so comfy, the whole house was clean, the jacuzzi and fireplace were great, and we were given complimentary s’mores :) we had a lovely experience and Phillip & Huy were very responsive to questions. Highly recommend (girlfriend didn’t want to leave) ;)

A Jewel in Jewett

Amazing getaway weekend in the Catskills! The home was exceptionally well-kept and designed. The little touches really let you know that Philipp and Huy really put serious effort to make the guests' stay a memorable one. The house puts you in reasonable driving distance to hiking, restaurants and other attractions - all of which we did. However, when I asked my daughter what her favorite part of the vacation was, she said it was the s'mores around the firepit.

Beautiful cabin, comfortable spaces, and great amenities.

Went on an upstate retreat with some friends and our partners - 8 people total. The rooms were lovely and the kitchen was fully furnished. They even provided a little s’mores kit in the fridge (although we only ended up using the marshmallows for hot chocolate). We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub but it seemed well maintained and clean. Fireplace came stocked with plenty of wood. 10/10 would rebook if the opportunity ever came!

Outstanding Home!

The Woodpecker exceeded our high expectations. The house was clean, very comfortable and well stocked. The fireplaces and hot tub worked out very well. The kids really enjoyed the Foosball table and Ms Pac-Man. There was a s’mores kit in the refrigerator and even a baby-gate to install at the top of the stairs… the hosts thought of everything. I highly recommend staying at the Woodpecker house if you ever find yourself in the area.

Serene getaway

The house is so modern and has everything you need. I came here with my husband, my parents and our dog for two nights and it was perfect. House was very clean with very clean bedding and towels which was fantastic. Huge back, front and side yard for entertainment of any kind. The one and only thing is that there isnt an AC unit in the rooms so I wish there was a fan but we left the window open overnight and it was perfect. Highly recommend for families or friends who are looking for a clean modern getaway in the catskills. Will be back for sure!!!
