Construction zone

The property was undergoing some construction & contacted me the day before to let me know. I figured it couldnt be that bad. I checked in, all was fine.....until 8am the next morning when i was awoke to the sound of a jack hammer sounding like it was going to break thru my ceiling. They were apparently remodeling the 3rd & 4th floor & i was lucky enough to be in the room on the 2nd floor right under the room where they were jack hammering the tile in the bathroom. Needless to say it was a rude awakening. The hotel made it right for me, but my family who was due to arrive later that day & stay for the next 3 nights were contacted & informed they could no longer accommodate them & helped make other arrangements. The staff was very helpful, but the situation was just frustrating.

Family visit and flexibility

We were able to have the same room as different members stayed over for parts of an important weekend. Friendly staff and good place to all feel safe and comfortable. The building was being remodeled though. Anytime a place needs to revamp, it's inconvenient. It was noiser as a result, which is reflected in the final score. Other than that, would've been tops!

great value hotel

Small room/bath area, so 3 adults max. But everything was clean, worked, business area (!), mag key worked everytime, exercise room 24hrs, 5:30p - 7p clean parking lot, a modest dinner - meat, starch, vegetible, 1 cocktail no extra charge (!!). Now for a time from 8a - 430p, there is NOISY renovation. But if you are planning to be gone during the day, this is a non-issue. 5 star performance from a 3 star hotel!

Loud remodeling

We get there 25 minutes early and there were no rooms ready, then they are remodeling, which we didn’t know until two days before we were to stay there. The room next to ours was a makeshift kitchen and they are banging pans around at five in the morning, waking us both. Didn’t offer a discount due to the loudness. I’m sure it will be nice once the remodeling is done, but for now stay somewhere else.
