Restaurants, food trucks and Times Supermarket just a few hundred feet away.

Location was a 5! The rest, not so much. Kitchen was laid out poorly with not enough outlets, the faucet dripped constantly, the pillows were awful (very flat) and the outdoor table wobbled horribly - spent way too much time messing with it. I’ll never understand the extra set of doors and why the bathroom was between the two sets of doors. Sheets were terrible and would not stay on the mattress, which was surprisingly comfortable. When we mentioned the sheets, etc. the owner replied with “the cleaner works hard”. Not the best response.

Absolutely perfect for us!

We absolutely loved everything about this studio. It was peaceful and quiet, felt very private with a lovely lanai and amazing ocean/sunset views. Bed was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed, bathroom was great, place was very clean. We ate in during 80% of our stay (after our initial Costco and Safeway shopping). Loved having the lanai doors open almost all the time (no need this time of year for a/c) - and felt like that extended our space beautifully. Enjoyed the pool/hot tub on a few evenings, though never got to the grill. Great amenities overall. Having access on either end of building to beaches was so convenient, and easy access to the boardwalk to Dukes and all the condos. Used the beach chairs/towels daily, and appreciated the various size coolers. Great fridge and icemaker. Can't say enough good things about MK806 and the folks that own/manage it. Can't wait to return, and definitely telling others about this find! Thanks for everything, Jason and Art.

Quiet But Close

This property is in the middle of the action without the noise. You have the benefit of the walkable resorts with the peace of your own space. The 8th floor provides incredible views of whales and turtles. We come every year, and this was the best whale watching we’ve had. We would definitely stay again.

Unfortunately the weather was overcast and very windy almost everyday. BUT, the highlight was whale watching from our lanai! If you're looking for a quiet property, Maui Kai is it. For me, a little too quiet.

Wonderful stay. Everything was clean and the unit was just as advertised. The new bed and appliances were a great upgrade compared to other units at the Maui Kai. Incredible location and views of the nonstop whale show. We recommend this property.

Everything was as described. The best review we could give was the view. There’s no beach
 you are looking straight down to the ocean from your balcony. We saw small & very large turtles every day. We did not expect to see whales since it was late in the season. Surprised to see many whales & caught one come almost completely out of the water. The pool area was very nice with a full kitchen, ping pong, TV, darts, cornhole, and barbecue grills. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Perfection!

I'll start by saying this was our first trip to Maui so we were not sure whether we picked the right location. Well we did, wow...this condo was perfect in every respect. It was clean upon arrival and even ready for an early check-in. Communication with the owners was seamless. The unit was stocked with everything you would need for your vacation and the availability of having housekeeping once during our stay was a nice touch. It allowed you to stay stocked on paper products, shampoos, conditioners, and hand soaps. Even getting fresh bath towels and a bed refresh was more than appreciated. The location was more than perfect. We were within minutes drive of nearly anything we wanted to do. There's also a nice boardwalk that is accessible right out of the condo parking lot that extends all the way into the Lahaina Harbor area. We saw whale breachings literally everyday on the lania. The view is spectacular and right on the water. I could go on and on but if you're like me I tend to stop reading reviews after the first three or four sentences. But I will say this in ending, this condo and location will not disappoint. I know we will absolutely book this same place if we ever have a chance to return. Thank you Art & Sophie!!

What a view!

MK806 is a wonderful unit. It’s clean and has everything that you need for your stay. The views are breathtaking. It’s whale season and the whales are visible wherever you look. We have a telephoto lens and were able to get some phenomenal pictures. I would recommend this unit to anyone and Art is very easy to work with.

Great condo in a spectacular location - cannot be any closer to the water! Art & Sophie are lovely hosts and provide all you will need to get you started . . . the appliances are new and everything is clean and well maintained - and the bed very comfortable. The lanai is private and view cannot be put into words. It's the perfect unit for 2 people who love to be ON the water - the crashing tide is no joke. Pool and grounds are tidy and washers/dryers and laundry on almost every floor. It is within walking distance to grocery shopping, restaurants, ABC store, bus stop, food trucks and more. This was our second stay and we look forward to our next! Mahalo!

Perfect location and wonderful sea view

Loved our stay- in-season whale watching right from the balcony. Unit was appointed well in a nice complex with plenty of parking. Comfortable bed with the best sea view. Loved leaving the sliding balcony doors open - even had a screen to use to keep birds out. Great location which was convenient to lovely sunbathing and snorkel beaches (just walk outside), tons of restaurant, food truck and grocery options. Would 100% recommend!
