The property was nothing like the pictures. While the host was friendly, the condition of the house was very disappointing.The home is very old, the floors are noticeably uneven, and there was a foul odor upon entering. The home was generally dirty. The ceiling fan was dirty, the garbage can was filthy, the windows were filthy, and the carpet was unclean. The carpeting also appeared to have been poorly installed, with uneven seams and edges. Several doors were out of square and did not fit or close properly. The bathroom vanity door beneath the sink would not close properly.The kitchen sink counter is rotted along the right-hand edge, indicating deferred maintenance. The clothes dryer produced no heat, making it unusable for drying laundry.The front steps are a safety hazard and should be repaired. There were no curtains in the front living room, leaving guests fully visible from the street after dark with essentially no privacy.When we first entered the house, a smoke alarm was chirping because of a low battery, which should have been addressed before guests arrived.On the second day of our stay, we returned to the house and saw the host and a contractor leaving through the door to the porch. The host said they had been inspecting the foundation. As they were leaving, my brother asked whether she was aware of renters' rights. She replied that she had not been inside the house and did not have a key.I would not recommend staying here.
