Upon arriving, this hotel literally took our breath away. We were welcomed by name and the host let us know that they had been expecting us. The room felt palacious. It was adorned with a poster bed with sheer drapery, an outdoor shower, as well as a huge indoor shower and bathroom. Seriously, the bathroom was like another room. In addition, the view from the balcony captivated even those who later saw the photographs. No detail was left undone. We felt like royalty. It was well worth the money. Btw, it was our 30th anniversary and from the Koi pond to the fireplace dining; from the pool and poolside bar, we were bathed in comfort and care. Even the Chef and serving team supported my Gluten allergy with delicious meal options. As a whole, we were blown away !!! Our experience with the Hideaway Hotel was beyond our expectations. They even had amazing excursions to keep you busy. I can't wait to visit them again. Sincerely, Jane and Matt

Beautiful, classy with excellent ambiance and wonderful staff. Food was great as well. Will recommend and return in the future for a longer visit.

Paradise
Pros:Everything
Location:location was a little tough. Road conditions are very sketchy but I guess part of the pura vida experience.
Absolutely a lovely place! Enjoyed the views, food, staff and pool. The room was fabulous. River amazing! Staff very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful place!
Pros:The staff was awesome.
Cons:New mattresses and pillows badly needed.
Location:Lots of things to do with the National Park right there.
This place is quite the ride to get there...roads extremely rough but once you get there it is beautiful. Our only complaint is maybe charge a little more and buy some decent pillows. The pillows were hard and lumpy and the mattresses were really hard also.

Remote luxury!
Pros:Free breakfast
This hotel is located aprox 4-5 hours from San Jose. The trip there is worth it, not only because of the lovely accomodations, but because you can walk into the jungle and visit Rio CEleste. A chemical reaction combining 2 rivers which each bring calcium and sulfur from the nearby volcano makes water a gorgeous light blue color. Hike into the mountain in and out takes about 4 hours. Be prepared to come out muddy and tired but exhilarated!
