Beautiful, newly renovated bungalow featuring custom Adirondack furnishings, located on the shore of Lake Champlain in the small town of Port Douglas, New York.

Camp Clearview is tucked away on a dead-end street to ensure peace and tranquility during your entire stay. Enjoy breathtaking and unobstructed views of Lake Champlain, Schuyler Island, and the shimmering lights of Burlington at the base of the majestic Green Mountains of Vermont.

Enjoy an open floor plan that easily accommodates four adults comfortably. A kitchenette with full appliances and utensils with a custom eat-in dinette is provided, accompanied by a full wrap-around deck with a gas grill to cook your catch of the day!

After enjoying your freshly caught dinner, relax with a glass of wine by your private fire pit and count the shooting stars while enjoying your view of the lake.

Don’t forget your boat, canoe, or kayak! We are located just steps away from a boat launch and sandy beach! Don't own a boat or kayak!? No problem! We have a boat and kayak rental company within minutes of our location. They will deliver the kayak, stand-up paddle board, or rowboat to our site!

We loved this place! We had such a fun time! The lake was beautiful and great fishing - We caught so many small mouth bass that were several pounds. The home was gorgeous and had beautiful details that were very fun! Definitely will stay again!

Camp Clearview

The location is good if you want a low-key vacation on the lake. If you want to do other things you have to drive a good distance. Internet service in the area is slow and spotty. The bed could use an upgraded mattress and the bathroom is very small with a tiny shower. Great views of Lake Champlain from the deck and the boat ramp directly across the street was very convenient.

Beautiful Spot on the Lake!

We loved this cottage - it's got one of the best views on the lake and it's got everything that you need. It was especially convenient to have a garage for our bikes/ kayak. Super clean, and Jay and Linda were very nice. Hope to stay again!

Quiet getaway

From check in to check out, our stay at Camp Clearview was wonderfully relaxing. The property was very clean and comfortable. Well stocked for a meal or two at home. For those that like a quiet beach or kayaking, it’s the perfect location. Also plenty of space to safely store our bikes and kayak when we were out doing other things. Lake Champlain is beautiful! So close to Ausable Chasm too! Thank you Jay and Linda!!

Amazing lake views from both inside and outside the property. Decoratively one of the best rentals we have ever stayed in over the years. We felt like we were home. Kitchen had all the basics and the place was very clean and well maintained.

The view was amazing. Went for a drive everyday. So enjoyable. Much to see in the area. Anything we needed was supplied in the cabin, dishware, utensils, pots and pans, towels, and most importantly, a coffee pot! Linda and Jay are very friendly and helpful.

Camp Clearview

The rental process was super easy through the Vrbo app. The camp itself is absolutely perfect with fantastic Adirondack style decor and incredible views of the lake from the wraparound deck. The view of Burlington, VT with the Green Mountains as the backdrop is spectacular too. At night you can see all the lights of the city about 10 miles away. Fairly close to lots of Adirondack adventures. Whiteface Mountain is a must see! Lake Placid is not far at all. Ausable Chasm is just a short drive away as well as High Falls Gorge and the Keene Valley. My wife and I had a most wonderful, relaxing experience and definitely plan on renting Camp Clearview again. Jay and Linda are wonderful hosts! The property did not disappoint.

What a great space. Location literally across the street from Lake Champlain. Hosts were great and available if I had questions. Decor of the cabin was spot on with a comfortable bed. I am already thinking of a winter trip back.

Authentic Adirondack cottage

Charming unit with 3 sliding doors to view Lake Champlain. Authentic Adirondack decor. 2 fireplaces, one inside, one outside. Outdoor deck to sit on with outdoor grill . Big flat screen TV with limited direct TV. Ausable Chasim and Bluff Point golf great nearby attractions. Endless hiking is area. We went to see fall foliage but nice beach and boat ramp across the street in summertime . Owners were very accommodating.

Amazing

Camp Clearview is simply amazing. Very clean and cozy and the view is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up in the morning and watching the sunrise over the mountains and the lake is so inspiring. Jay and Linda are very nice and attentive. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommended!

Escape to the Country

We spent an absolutely wonderful week at Camp Clearview. Each month since May during the epidemic we have made it a goal to spend a few days in New England given we can’t leave the country. Camp Clearview was by far our favorite spot! We selected a perfect week because the colors were just turning but the leaf peepers had not travelled to the areas quite yet. Jay and Linda’s accommodation was just perfect for the two of us. The decorations are clever and Linda is very proud of the motifs. Very cozy, for sure. Be sure to read their heartwarming piece about the flagpole which was installed this summer. The view of Lake Champlain is outstanding. The studio is well equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed coffee every morning watching the sunrise and evening meals watching the sun slip away. At night the lights of Burlington, Vermont are clearly visible. We really had all the comforts of home. But you should go with provisions because eating outdoors in the area is limited due to COVID. We spent our days biking and walking. Check out the Lake Champlain Bikeways website for suggested local rides with turn by turn directions and maps. NY has beautiful state parks which at this time of year we had to ourselves. We enjoyed our day spent at Ausable Chasm and braved the river walk which included two walks across the chasm on swinging cable bridges! Another favorite spot was Rulfs Apple Orchard. The process for securing the booking was seamless. Any questions or concerns were quickly addressed. When we arrived Linda met us to answer any questions. Camp Clearview is perfect getaway. You won’t be disappointed.
