Laik are proud to present Gutherscale Lodge, a detached home tucked into the beautiful Newlands Valley beneath Cat Bells. Surrounded by stunning Lake District scenery, itâs the perfect base for families, walkers, cyclists, and groups of friends, just a 15 minute stroll to the Swinside Inn, and a short stroll to Derwentwater. Sleeping up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms, the lodge combines modern comfort with a relaxed countryside feel, complete with underfloor heating, a cosy log burner, and peaceful fell views.
Gutherscale Lodge is the kind of place made for slow mornings, muddy boots by the door, and long evenings gathered around the table after a day on the fells. Spacious and welcoming, it works brilliantly for multi-generational family stays, walking groups, or friends wanting room to properly spread out without feeling on top of each other.
The large social spaces make group stays easy, whether thatâs cooking together in the kitchen, sharing a meal around the dining table, or splitting off between the snug and the main lounge for quieter evenings. Underfloor heating throughout keeps things cosy year-round, while the log burner adds that classic Lakeland feel after wet days outdoors.
Outside, the garden and terrace are a real highlight. Itâs the sort of spot where people naturally gather, morning coffees in the fresh air, dogs snoozing after a walk, or a glass of wine as the light drops behind the fells.
Guests have private access to the entire property, garden, and parking areas.
