O.k., but a little renovation would change a lot

The best thing about the condo is the view from the balcony: love it! The condo was very clean, but there are things that cannot be made up with the regular cleaning. Old and dated wallpaper in the bathroom, that doesn't stick to the wall, dirty and filthy grouts. The whole condo would be so different if only a little money would be spent to do a remodel on a couple of things. There are no beaches to swim in walking distance, so you need to have a car. Can only recommend it for people who's expectations aren't too high.

Spectacular Sunsets

This is my first time ever posting a review, but since I always rely on them, it's only fair that I contribute. So where do I start? Upon arriving, it looks like a 2 1/2 star hotel. However, once inside the condo, it was like home. Very comfortable and clean, with lots of little extras for your pleasure. There is a small, private pool out back, then about 200 yards of green grass and a few tall palm trees between you and the the ocean. You will experience spectacular sunsets every night from the comfort of your lanai/balcony. To rate the location depends on what you plan to do while visiting. It is a great location in itself. The only thing that wasn't "perfect" is that the beach has a lot of rocks on the sand, and only rocks when you enter the water. There are sandy beaches not far away. So, unless your trip is about the beach, this is an excellent place to stay. And very quiet at night.

Perfect sunsets every evening

This is a great place to stay. Kihie is a quietish part of Maui. There are a few good restaurants within walking distance. Condo was excepionally clean. One hint if your out for the day close the blinds the afternoon sun will warm the place up. Overall great place to stay.

Great stay

The only complaint was that the air conditioning was not adequate enough to cool the entire condo and the furniture and decor was a bit dated. Otherwise everything was clean and we were centrally located with an excellent ocean view from the patio.

Lovely condo steps from the beach!

My boyfriend and I stayed in unit 119, we had a beachfront condo that was literally steps from the beach. The condo had literally everything you would need aside from food (utensils, pots, pans, laundry detergent, cooking oil and spices). We ended up sleeping on the pullout bed in the living room so that we could wake up to the ocean but even that was comfortable.

Fixtures were dated (think 70's), and the A/C couldn't handle the 90 degree days. However, Condo was clean and well equiped with the basics. We thought the price was fair and location good.

Ok, for the price

- Older privately owned condo that requires an update. One of the dirtiest/ugliest bathtubs I have ever seen. Air conditioner in living area under sized and bedroom air conditioner never worked. Needed a car to get to anywhere (groceries, resturants). + Quiet clean complex. Very near the ocean, just walk out the back across a well kept park right to the beach. Quiet beach, but not the biggest or best around.

Great hotel right on the beach.

We arrived without a reservation because of the horrible hotel we had to walk away from. (lost money on that hotel which will be noted on a different review). Right away I knew it was going to be good. The staff was great. I booked 4 days and they gave us 1 of the days free. The room was beautiful and overlooked the beach. Within easy walking distance of Front street where all the good tourist shops and restaurants are. Great experience here on our honeymoon.

Great find, close to everything with a view

I was so pleased with my stay, the property managers were great and I was impressed with the quality for the price. Great view and nice and quiet. My room, however, was very hot as the air conditioning didn't fully cool it off. Maybe something can be done about that...

An hidden gem!

The condo is a great place! Loved sitting on the lanai with my coffee watching the humpbacks jump out front! This a great little hidden gem! We would stay here again for sure.

Leinaala Ground level Unit 102 March 2013

AC in both living room and bedroom. Kept it comfortable for the whole stay. We were a family of 4, used the pull out couch no problem. Building is a little dated, but clean and grounds are well kept up. Many small restaurants withing 10 minutes drive. has shared Washer / Dryer facilities in building Tennis Courts available only 50m away. Very quiet, great for families Only approx 70m to the beach across a perfectly manicured lawn. With the west facing deck and great view of the sunset we ate all our meals on the deck outside.

OVERPRICED

NICE VIEW, NICE PEOPLE, TERRIBLE PARKING AREA THEY SHOE-HORNED TOO MANY PARKING SPOTS INTO AN AREA THAT ISN'T LARGE ENOUGH. DAMAGE ON THE CARS BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T OPEN THE CAR DOOR WITHOUT HITTING THE CAR NEXT TO YOU. WE HAVE STAYED IN MAUI MANY TIMES FOR FAR LESS AND NICER PLACES.

Older but nice condo units

We stayed in room 401, so I can only rate this room, as each owner maintains their own unit. This unit is on the top floor, so it had a great ocean view. We had some difficulty checking in, it was a Saturday, no one was working in the office. You have to call this after hour phone number and they give you some code for the front door. Instruction was not clear enough. Once we checked in, things went well. The unit is older but clean. Very close to the ocean and quite. It was not far from some shopping area. Overall, we would stay there again.

Relaxing stay

We always stay at this Condo since we started going to Maui. We have never had a bad stay here. Its in a quiet area, away from the traffic. Every room has a view of the ocean.

Fantastic stay in Maui

Our condo was very spacious and the view of the ocean from our lanai was amazing. All properties have the same view which is reassuring. The property itself was comfortable and well maintained. Location is good but a car is recommended if you want to make the most out of your trip. Parking is free and you get an assigned space which is helpful. Overall, a brilliant place to stay.

Kihei condo

I would recommend this hotel because the setting and location were great. Aside from a few other guests and residents, it was quiet and right on the water. All amenities were close by, although the beach in front of the hotel wa not great for swimming. The average rating given was due to the condition of the condo. I stayed in and every condo is different. This one needed some updates and more attention to cleaning. On the surface it Looked fine but there were a few areas that needed work, mainly the bathroom.

Amazing for its price and facilities

Trust me, this condo was spectacular, centrally located, close to everything. The kitchen was fully equipped. This is better than the hotels near lahaina since this is much closer to haleakala, hana, Wailea beaches.

Hawaiian Paradise at Leinaala

The location of this condo is perfect - close enough to get to the stores, yet far enough away that you hear absolutely no noise. Tennis courts out the front; pool too! with nice comfy lounge chairs. Absolutely the cleanest condo we have ever rented. The condo contained almost everything one could ever need, even a dishwasher - but, no teapot, trying to find one was impossible!! Bill and Paula (the managers) are the friendliest and were very knowledgeable, even with a few suggestions. Sitting on the lanai was a perfect place to watch the windsurfers and surf boarders - sunsets were breathtaking!! A nice home base to all the things one does in Maui. WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK TO THIS COMPLEX!!

First time at this location and was delighted with the amenities and condition. Beautiful ground floor view and clean accommodations. The guest book provided by the owners of the condo was very helpful and informative. Would love to return to this unit at some future date.

Very Nice Place for the price!

Nice place to stay. Family was staying at the Maui Schooner right next door, so this location was perfect. The area is a great central location for the entire island. This area is a more laid back region of Maui, a short drive to all the popular beaches and attractions. Very close to grocery stores, and many nice places to dine. This place has a well stocked kitchen which cut cost down by cooking for yourself. Amazing sunsets every night! Only down side is they have a very small pool and no hot tub, but for us this was not a problem, because we spent most of our family time next door. A great value for the price. All rooms have an ocean view!!!

Good Location, Needs Upgrading

The location of this condo building is superb. The even better thing is the ocean view. We stayed in suite #401 and for the amount that we were paying, it was not up to standard. The carpet is heavily stained and needs to be changed, or at the very least cleaned. The furniture and decor is very outdated and the entire suite could use a good cleaning. For example, fingerprints on the walls and light fixtures, stove, fridge, cupboards etc..... Stray hairs on the floors, area rugs in kitchen and bathroom stained. The unit was very well stocked with everything you would need to make a meal, although the kitchen linens had a moldy odor to them and we did not use them after this discovery. The manager of the building greeted us and was very helpful and friendly. The ground, pool and common areas are very clean and tidy. Two other positive qualities of this suite are the wireless internet access and the in suite telephone for local calling. If you are hoping for an ocean front view, great location and there are no other more updated suites available in Leinaala, then I would stay here again.

Leinaala - Maui Condo - A pleasant surprise

The condo was simply perfect. It was well maintained and fully furnished. It was very clean and well stocked. It has a beach view and it was gorgeous. You could just walk to the beach at any point of time. It was also close to the beach parks. The wind blowing into the apartment was very cool and refreshing. The nice part of the hotel is it is very quiet and is close to everything. Lahiana and Wailea are just 20-30 minutes away. The internet connection is very good too. We were pleasantly surprised and would highly recommend this place.
