Something in the Orange in Kill Devil Hills — New Construction, 450 Feet to the Sand
The math here is simple: cross Clark Street, walk two minutes, and your feet are in the ocean. This newly built townhouse sits 450 feet from public beach access in one of Kill Devil Hills' most walkable pockets — and when you're not at the beach, some of the beach road's best casual eats are a stroll or bike ride away: Food Dudes, Bonzer Shack, Dare Devil Pizza, Thai Room, and Jack Brown's among them.
Two Master Suites, Zero Compromises
Both bedrooms are true masters: a king suite and a queen suite, each with its own en-suite bathroom and blackout curtains for genuinely restful mornings. Perfect math for two couples or a small family. The top level holds the open-plan living area — a spacious living room, a gourmet kitchen built to inspire, and partial views of the ocean to remind you how close it is. Out on the balcony, a gas grill waits for dinner with an ocean breeze.
Being newly built, everything still feels crisp: a well-stocked kitchen, plush linens, cozy towels, and thoughtful details throughout. The layout adds a carport, a bottom-floor dry entry, a laundry room on the bedroom level, a stylish half bath off the living area, an outside wash area for sandy feet and gear — and the closer: a private hot tub for post-beach soaks. Dogs are welcome (maximum of two, $150 plus tax per dog).

We had a great time staying here. Property is as advertised, the rental company communicates well and fixes any issues quickly. It is right across the street from the beach. The hot tub is clean and hot! The beds are comfortable. It has two dishwashers and the kitchen is full of everything you need minus a pan to cook in the oven. I would recommend staying here and will definitely be back again.
Everything was great. Place was brand new, seemed like we were the first guest. Only thing was the water pressure was non-existent but that was because of a water main break and not because of the owner, so it was out of their control. They did offer us a alterative place to go shower which was above and beyond. Would stay here again.
The place looks just like the photos, its brand new and they are still building in the development behind. View from 3rd floor deck is nice. Pros: Very easy to get to beach (you can see the beach entrance from condo), close to a lot of restaurants and everything else OBX has to offer, comfortable beds, has mostly everything you need on site, nice property, they just added a hot tub while we were there. Love that it is pet friendly, but the stairs are rough on a older dog.Cons (fixable): Floors were gross and dirty, didn't look like they had ever been cleaned, I swept multiple times and swept up tons of dog hair that wasn't from my dog. The king bedroom desperately needs blackout curtains, the light from outside is killer at night. They don't provide any paper products and they do tell you that upfront. When we arrived there was some items in a bag, a paper towel roll and 2 rolls of toilet paper, but there are 3 bathrooms? No can opener in kitchen. Cons (not easily fixable): The bathroom in the king room is SUPER tiny. Odd that they didn't put the queen in the room with the smaller bathroom and the king with the larger bathroom. Water is VERY hard, I know I am spoiled with a water softener at home, but this was rough. They do tell you but there are a lot of stairs so be prepared. All living is on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Overall, the place was great, the rental company and check-in, check-out was easy to deal with!
