Firstly, I would just like to say that the kitchenwares, crockery and cutlery were of a high standard as are the furnishings and decor. As a result it felt like the owners respect and value the people who pay to spend time in their lovely apartment. Gorgeous views!

Had a lovely week in this first floor flat. The views from the living room and double bedroom are utterly gorgeous and change with the tides. The flat is great with very comfy beds! We used the steps down to the beach regularly, which is a great workout. Good walks on the doorstep and also took the ferry over to Bantham for a walk on that part of the coastal path. Bring supplies as the closest restaurants are a drive. Can totally recommend the Oyster Shack for unbelievably good seafood and lovely staff.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location.

This property has the most amazing views. Sitting on the balcony you could be anywhere. The property is well equipped and beautifully presented. It’s a short walk to the beach which was ideal for us as a beaching loving family. We used the steps a couple of times but normally walk on the beach path as it was easier with lots of equipment. There is a beach cafe on the beach which we highly recommend visiting. We would definitely recommend this property and would love to go back.

Fantastic!!

This is our second stay at this property and it hopefully won’t be our last! Breath taking views, luxury accommodation, everything very clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Well equipped, quiet, and very relaxing. Just sitting in the living room looking out at the ever-changing tides made the worries from home seem far away. We had a wonderful time and would return tomorrow if we could!!

Lovely Apartment with amazing view

We stayed here with 4 people for a week, one bedroom has the most amazing view of the sea and we spent so much time enjoying the view from the living room too. Well equipped kitchen in almost everything (we did need to buy sponge, washing detergent and shower gel/shampoo). Amazing walks nearby and great capability for kite and wind surfing nearby. Lovely walks along the beach and swimming capabilities just through the private access to the sea.

sehr schönes Appartement mit fantastischem Ausblick

Die Ferien Wohnung befindet sich in erster reihe an der KĂŒste und ist mit einer privaten Treppe zum Sandstrand verbunden. Durch Ebbe und Flut gibt es alle 6 Stunden ein faszinierendes Schauspiel zu sehen. Der Strand ist herrlich und es gibt gleich um die Ecke die Möglichkeit Surfbretter und Ă€hnliches auszuleihen Auch gibt es zu Essen und trinken. Die Wohnung ist komplett ausgestattet und wir haben (fast) nichts vermisst. Schön wĂ€ren Sitzkissen fĂŒr die TerrassenstĂŒhle gewesen und ein Tisch, damit man dort besser verweilen könnte. Ansonsten alles super und wir hatten eine schöne Zeit und haben viel ringsherum und Bigbury on sea gesehen. Danke.

Wow what a view, lovely clean modern apartment to stay in. Lovely and warm. All the amenities required. Only slight quibble if you are unfit like me, parking area a little way from door on steep hill, then a set of stairs, almost had a coronary getting our gear upstairs ( no fault of the owners, just beware, but worth it for the prize.

Stunning apartment

This is our third visit to this stunning apartment and definitely won't be our last. The amazing view hits you as soon as you walk in. Cleaned to a high standard and stylishly decorated with quality furnishings. Since our last visit improvements have been made with the addition of a beautiful new kitchen and bathroom, making it even more of a wow! Well equipped - contains everything you need. A real home from home. Quiet location. Great for coastal walks and beach. Ideally situated for visiting the wider area. We love it here and look forward to returning.

Immaculate apartment with wonderful views.

Immaculate apartment with wonderful views from the lounge and large balcony across Avonmouth. The only sound we heard from this apartment was the sound of the sea when the patio door was open. The front bedroom had a lovely view of green hills with sheep grazing. All of this added to give us a restful, peaceful holiday. We walked down Folly Hiill to the beach (5 minutes to walk down but a good 12 minutes to walk up). If you prefer, there is a set of private steps that lead directly down to the beach.The beach here is large, clean and uncrowded and you can easily walk across to Burgh Island at low tide. The apartment is tastefully furnished and well equipped with comfortable beds, a good shower and everything you need in the kitchen. Parking at the apartment is easy. There is a designated parking bay about 20 metres from the apartment. The location is perfect for touring and we visited the Eden Project in Cornwall, Boscastle, Agatha Christie's House near Brixham and we went into Plymouth. A great holiday and we highly recommend this apartment. We hope to return in the near future.

Excellent property, very well equipped , whatever the weather you will never tire of the views stunning , very unspoilt area , lots of places to visit, very enjoyable stay , would be nice to have a small table on the balcony , weather was good meals outside would be nice . There is no shaver socket in the bathroom , I think an adapter in the bathroom draw would be useful ,but very minor points

Beautiful apartment and views but remote location

We cannot fault the apartment or the views but we found it very remote and the roads to the apartment are horrendous, when we arrived we looked around hoping to get some food as it said restaurants within walking distance but we didn’t find them except for one on Burgh Island accessible at low tide. It also said bbq but we couldn’t find one and it did say no bbq on balcony so not sure why this was advertised. We were all tired and hungry but we had to get in car again to find a decent supermarket which was I think around 8/9 miles away but this actually took us a total of 2 hours with the busy road and then the busy supermarket. We could not get booked anywhere for the following day either so yet again had to cook. Although this area is gorgeous and we had lovely weather it was not our ideal place due to having to drive the narrow roads and not being able to walk anywhere to eat out which meant someone always had to drive and eating out is part of our holiday where as this time I spent most of it cooking. The steps to the beach below the apartment total about 180 so not for the faint hearted however if you do get down it is worth it as the cove below is a little sun trap and you can have a good day before attempting to climb the steps back to the top. Really wish we had a paddle board as no surf at all to use surf or body boards but maybe this was just the week we were there.

Bigbury apartment

It was a beautiful apartment, with a breathtaking view, as pictured. No issues at all with the apartment, very clean, amazing facilities and everything that was promised. Very unsuitable if you are disabled in anyway, or have any mobility issues, as the hills and steps to the apartment and beach were a struggle (not so bad with a bit of teenage teamwork!). I don't know if this was made clear on the original advert, as it wasn't relevant to us - just an observation! My only slight issue was the remoteness of it - you had to travel 20 mins to get anywhere (except a walk on the beach or a pint of milk), but that road in and out of Bigbury was very challenging to negotiate on a regular basis. When we arrived there was no eateries that could be accessed at all - not even a fish and chips or ice cream in an evening, without getting in the car to the next village or walking half hour (didn't know where we were going when we first arrived). It was slightly better in the day as the cafe was open. I think it was a COVID issue, but the only pub in the immediate area was closed too - Pilchard Inn. Very nice relaxing stay, but sad to say I wouldn't return due to remote location. Obviously this is a personal preference, and if all you want to do it walk along beach and cliffs this is the perfect place for you.
