Breathtaking views and direct beachfront access. If you like turquoise waters and the sound of waves crashing on the beach, Carambola is the place! Charming rooms with high ceilings, open air patios with cushioned benches. Beds were comfortable, water pressure good. Fair amount of walking is necessary, parking was a 2 minute walk, uphill mostly. Staff were friendly enough…service in restaurant was variable…but expect that you will sit and wait for longer than on the mainland. But, the views are so beautiful, and the island breezes so mesmerizing…you will barely notice the time! Honestly…wonderful value, clean, safe, and cared for…I would return tomorrow if I could!

When I say my trip was perfect, I truly mean it. The location, scenery, and peaceful vibe were everything. The food was very customizable — just communicate your dietary needs and they will accommodate. Breakfast was amazing. If you’re celebrating something special, call the front desk and ask for Precious. She created a beautiful customized setup that made my day unforgettable. Truly an amazing experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wonderful vacation! The beach is gorgeous and the pool is lovely. Food was fresh and Staff were so friendly! My only complaints are that the buildings are a little tired and there were not enough towels.

Room was perfect and looks just like the pictures. The resort itself and the beach are clean and beautiful. Bar service was horrible regardless of what time of day it was. Inattentive staff. Not at all hospitable. This was very disappointing to be on vacation. Food at the bar and at the restaurant was pretty good. Resort is secluded and transportation is limited.

This property is very nice. It is pretty secluded so if you are looking for more night life, this is probably not what you are looking for. Also, they have no beach towels so recommend bringing your own

This place is beautiful from the outside but there is a big lack of staff/dining options and it’s called a resort and spa, there is no spa on set. The main restaurant was out of quite a few menu options and we had unreasonable wait times each time we dined. The staff were very nice but were seemingly over worked because of the lack of help. It was very misleading, my partner and I decided to check out 2 days early

We booked a one-week Christmas vacation at Carambola Resort for our family, excited to enjoy the Caribbean in a beautiful setting. We chose this property first because it’s a Marriott and second because of the stunning location. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it was nothing but disappointment. Check-in was scheduled for 4:00 PM. We arrived shortly after, only to be told our room wouldn’t be ready for another hour. Not the end of the world, so we decided to grab a drink and an appetizer at the lounge. That decision led to our next frustration. It took—without exaggeration—45 minutes just to receive water, followed by another 10 minutes before the appetizer arrived. When the food finally came, it was overcooked and missing about half of the menu ingredients. When we finally made it to our room, we discovered there were no sheets for the pullout bed. We called three separate times and were repeatedly told they would be brought up. After waiting and it getting late, we walked up to the desk ourselves, only to be told there were no sheets available at all. Sadly, things only went downhill from there. Housekeeping was inconsistent, food quality remained poor, and basic service expectations were repeatedly unmet. If there’s one thing this resort did manage to accomplish, it was ruining our family’s Christmas vacation.

Room was okay- a lot of little ant like bugs in the kitchenette area. Could not have food sitting unattended. Whole facility needs updating. Cleanliness was moderate. Courteous staff was very inconsistent. It was not Marriott Resort worth or meet other resort expectations. With all that said the location was fabulous but pricey.

*** DO NOT STAY HERE *** This place is a 100% disaster. We were here for 9 days Dec 8th-17th, 2025. Rooms are completely dilapidated and are in desparate need of service. A/C is loud, wood doors and all trim is rotted, window seals are all gone, room entirely 80s and NEVER fully cleaned, no decore, bugs and spider webs everywhere, toilet loose, floors filthy....on and on. These stand alone units are completely run down and need to be demolished and rebuilt. This "resort" is no resort at all whatsoever. We understand "island time" but this is another level. There is one crappy restaurant with staff that clearly HATE working here. We even had a table next to us get up and leave because of how rude and inattentive they were. Dont bother ordering from the bar because youll wait an hour for a burger. SERVICE WAS HIRRIBLE. I cant be clear enough that this is NOT the place to stay. Its run down, unmaintained and could be wonderful if started over. Alao keep in mind that this place is 30 minutes from town and the roads are rough and windy....DO NOT BELIVE THE PICTURES..... Fantastic if youre from the ghetto and used to this crap.

The room had some bugs but that’s expected because it is a tropical place. Room was nice the bar staff was pretty slow but friendly. The view from the hotel is UNMATCHED. Such a beautiful beach you can dive or snorkel at. The tide pool hike is extremely close by. The lobby staff were rude. The house cleaning forgot our room twice so we had no fresh towels. We paid for a beach view and it was our honeymoon and we barely had a beach view when there were so many people who got beach view after our check in that was on the beach which is what we requested and paid for. Overall st croix is amazing rent a car this hotel was reasonably priced and the beach was amazing.
