Lancaster co. farmhouse in the heart of amish country

This country home is nestled in the heart of Amish Country in beautiful Southern lancaster county, Pennsylvania. The property is located in a farm setting on a quiet country road, excellent for walking/biking through some of lancaster county's most beautiful farmland. We are located within 20 minutes of most major area attractions, outlets,Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park, Sight and Sound Theatre. One hour from Hershey Pennsylvania. and Philadelphia.
10 min drive from here is wolfs hollow park great for hiking and walking, and moccasin Run golf course.

Our 1800's home features a fully stocked kitchen, living room, and dining room with small kitchette. The larger of its two bedrooms has two queen-sized beds. The smaller has a king size bed. we also have a futon available. We provide the linens and towels. 3 bathrooms one with clawfoot tub, the other 2 have showers.


For a quiet country getaway Miriam's Guest House is a great retreat for your family or small group. Enjoy relaxing on the front porch swing, playground for the kids, grill out on the patio, evenings enjoy sitting around the campfire. In the winter months and cool evenings enjoy cozying up to the wood burning fireplace. Feel free to say Hi to the many animals on our farmette, we have a horses, Jenny the friendly donkey that roams the premises at times, sandy, the pony and Ethel our Scottish highlander cow.



Grab your fresh homegrown vegetables and fruits from nearby produce stands and stop by to pick up groceries and bulk foods from our local Amish stores,

we live on the same property, but we give you your space and privacy..

We have stayed at many VRBO locations, and none were as clean and welcoming as this property. Mim goes above and beyond with every little detail to make you feel comfortable. The farm setting and animals are second to none, we will definitely be staying here again!

Tier 1 place! The house was very clean and fully equipped for our stay. They even provided firewood for the outdoor fire pit and a gas grill ready to use. The house is beautiful and comfortable. The animals on the farm were a highlight for us all! Thank you for a great stay!

This property is so relaxing and scenic. The farmhouse is luxuriously renovated but feels like stepping back in time all at once. Our family adores seeing the animals on the farm, the peace and quiet, and enjoying family time in the comfy living spaces. We will be back!

It was a great place to relax and to come home to each night after enjoying the sights and attractions of the county. Host was great about suggesting places to visit as well as eat! Sorry our stay was so short and are hoping to return again next year with our spouses!

Our stay was perfect! The peacefulness of the location was great. I loved having coffee in the morning on the patio watching the farm animals and hearing the birds chirping. Nights by the fire pit were a nice way to unwind. Our hosts were wonderful!Thank you for sharing this house with us!!

Miriam and Omar were excellent hosts and made us feel welcome. The house was so full of character and beauty, with historic timbers and many interesting architectural elements. Having a bathroom on all three floors was convenient. The windows all had interesting views onto the farmland. We were introduced to some of the special animals like Ethel the Scottish Highland cow, and Zoe the energetic and playful Dalmation dog. We were able to make a fire in the fireplace which added coziness to the already cozy house on a chilly damp winter weekend. We hope to return soon!

Excellent host!!! Reached out several times to make sure everything was going great. Only thing I would say is if someone in your party has trouble with stairs this location may not be for you. Both bedrooms are upstairs. We loved the property!!! Very quiet area. Would definitely stay again!!

Beautiful, relaxing stay!

We had a wonderful stay here! We enjoyed the landscaping, the quiet mornings with tea on the porch and deck and the beautifully crafted home. The hosts are amazing and gave us a tour of the farm animals. This is a great place to stay!

The farmhouse was clean, cozy and perfect. As soon as we had arrived Jenny, the donkey, greeted us. The decor and furnture were beautiful and soo comfortable in the house. The grounds are well kepted and the views are breathtaking. If you are an animal lover, this is the place for you. We enjoyed seeing Chloe, Jenny, Ethel, and all of the ponnies. Mim was a fabulous host checking if we needed help with anything. It was just 20 -30 minutes to drive to shopping and food areas. We are already planning to return.

4th Year in a Row!

We love staying at Mim and Omar’s farmhouse - this is our 4th summer doing so. It’s perfect for our family of 6 (2 little kids, 2 parents and 2 grandparents)! Not too far from all the attractions, but much more space than a hotel and it is beautiful. Always clean, always new renovations each year, and Mim is the best. Highly recommend!!

Thanksgiving Retreat

This is our 2nd time staying here! Once again we loved everything about the house. The location, cleaniness, and the hospitality of Omar and Mim. Feels like home away from home. We loved the farm animals and Zoey too!

We enjoyed our stay very much for a girls getaway. Not far from all the shopping and activities in Lancaster area. Cozy, peaceful place to stay. Enjoyed a fire in the fireplace. Plenty of space for 4 friends to relax. Highly recommend.
