The studio is about 220 yards to the Kirkwood Village main mountain access, a short walk to the lifts and you can ski-in right to the front door of the building from chair 6 or chair 7. There are also groomed cross-country skiing trails right out the back door of the building.
The free Kirkwood shuttle picks up in front of the building giving you transportation to the Kirkwood General Store, Kirkwood Village (Chair 6, 10&11) &Timber Creek, the beginner learning area (chair 7 and Bunny).
Ski right in to drop your gear in your assigned locker, while you're there tune up the gear @ the self-serve waxing station if needed. Then stroll upstairs and prepare to sit back & relax by a warm fire w/ a cozy blanket, or go down stairs to the hot tub (during winter months) for a soak. Hot tub is located in a large great room with two-sided fireplace, large tables and super comfy chairs to relax in... perfect for entertaining guests. Out the double doors on the deck are the communal gas grill for all your grilling needs.
SKI-INâ„Cozy Little Getawayâ„ is equipped w/ one queen bed, plush bedding, full size sofa bed w/ new mattress and all the bedding needed to make a perfectly cozy bed. There is a mini fridge, toaster, coffee maker & microwave. We supply coffee cups, tea, coffee, sugar & creamer. Please Note we DO NOT supply cookware. Also please note that during the non-winter months, heat is through a space heater or fireplace. Firewood is provided!
Entertainment needs: Smart Tv logged in w/ Netflix. High Speed Wi-Fi Capable of Hosting Multiple Video Calls & Streaming Needs
When visiting you will have private underground parking available for one car/truck. Which means no shoveling snow off your car after shredding powder all day! You will also have access to a full-size ski locker w/ lock to keep all your equipment safe and dry. Lockers are conveniently located at the main level entrance of the building.

The Neighborhood:
Kirkwood Mountain Resort is a lush green landscape with Sierra Nevada Mountain Range Access. Hiking, Mountain Biking, Photography, Exploration, Dozens of Lakes, Fishing and stargazing.
Kirkwood Community is a very quite and secluded location. In Summer Months it can seem like a ghost town but with that there comes this peaceful environment which is hard to find in the busy world we live in now.
Other Things to Note:
PLEASE NOTE: Radiant heat to the building will be shut off during the spring and summer months (May through October). During this time, your heat source is the wood burning fireplace. All wood is stocked and supplied as well as fire starter's. In addition, the unit has a space heater for your convenience.

We are available 24hrs via message, text and call for any questions or concerns. We are also available in person during normal business hours or in the case of an emergency.
