Based on online reviews, I was expecting more. I did not receive a check-in email prior to my arrival. Once I landed, I had to call the host several times before he answered my call and assured me that he would meet me for check-in - if you are not travelling with mobile data, this will be an issue. Once we arrived, we found dust on the furniture and plenty of mosquitoes in the kitchen. The host Benson was pleasant enough, however, he would show up at the unit at all hours of the night without calling first (once as late as 11:45pm) just to discuss check-in documents or other things that could have been communicated via the phone. We also found out that the homestay was a shared space only once we arrived (not listed on the listing), and a new guest would be sharing with us. Not much of an issue if you are ok with it but would liked to have known beforehand. It is a really great value for money considering what you get, but it could be maintained better for better reviews. Also consider luggage if choosing this - only external steep stairs leading up to the unit. Decor in the home was rustic and traditional.
