Enjoy A/C throughout the entire house. Our newly remodeled 1920's Hawaiian owned and built by my great grandparents, was originally the first house on the hill above Poipu Beach.
Entering Poipu Hale Ohana, you will be stunned with views that overlook Poipu Beach, the South Shore coastline, and on clear days the sight of the Island of Ni'ihau. As well as impressive views of the lush mountain range. Located within a short 5 minute walk to Brenneckes & Poipu Beach. Enjoy ocean and Sunset views from the Living room, Dining, Kitchen and outdoor Gazebo area.

Included with your stay is the use of Poipu Beach Athletic Club and the facilities amenities for up to 9 guest's. Just a short mile drive up the road. You can enjoy their resort-style pool with waterslide and hot tub, workout center, Tennis courts, Pickleball courts, Basketball courts, on-site restaurant with poolside service and much more.

Enjoy the benefit of socializing together or relaxing in private spaces, This home includes 2 separate Entrance units, Upstairs 3 bedroom/1.5 Bathroom. Down stairs, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom. Both units have full kitchens and their own washer and dryer.

The Upstairs of this home has a marvelous large and open living area with comfortable furnishings. Large Flat screen TVs above the fireplace in living and dinning area. Plenty of seating at Island bar, dinning table and breakfast bar with a sizable kitchen well equipped. Each bedroom has a smart flatscreen TV, full size closet, luggage rack, laundry basket, and Dresser. All TVs have Cable, Netflix, Disney+, paramount +, & Hulu.

In addition, we have our li'ili'i (small) downstairs suite. Perfect for couples or friends traveling together as it offers Its own fully equipped Kitchen, Bathroom, and 1 bedroom with a queen bed, and one more perk of an extra twin bed. This originally was a low ceiling space. Renovating and keeping the same structure to our home the ceiling remains low, making it a height of 7ft. This is the perfect bonus space for a couple in the group that prefers their own living space. Both TVs have Cable, Netflix, Disney+, & Hulu.

Take advantage of the properties beach gear. Including, Beach Umbrellas, Chairs, Boogie boards, 2 sets of snorkel gear, Coolers, and Wagon to pack up and walk to the beach.
Within a couple miles there are dozens of appealing restaurants, alluring shops, fascinating outdoor activities and places to sight see.

After a long day of adventuring, rinse off in the outdoor enclosed hot water shower. Just steps from the front door we have our shaded gazebo pavilion with large deck and BBQ grill. Comfortable outdoor sectional couch and dining table to kick back, relax and watch the Sunset.

The house is beautiful. The location is excellent. And Mona is THE most accommodating and helpful host I’ve ever had the pleasure of communicating with. I can’t imagine a more perfect house for our family vacation. We were a family of five plus one grandparent. Everyone was so comfortable. The kitchen was a dream and equipped with everything. We loved grilling and dining on the outside patio. In our one rainy day we enjoyed a great movie night!! The beach chairs and towels and boogie boards were perfect for our trips to the beach. Thank you so much Mona for making our trip as wonderful as it was!!! If this house is available - Book it. Nothing more to say.

One of the best rental experiences I've EVER had. The host (Mona) is communicative, friendly, and very responsive. The home is stunning, welcoming, and fully stocked. The kitchen had every gadget you could imagine with oils/spices to cook with. We traveled with 3 kids and grandparents. There was plenty of comfortable space for us outdoor/indoor to eat as a family. The garage is stocked with beach toys, chairs, and a wagon to make beach and pool trips super easy. The house even had a wide range of books (some were even age appropriate for my small kids) and board/card games. The location was was walking distance to multiple beach spots, coffee, and close to shops. The view is stunning from every window. Everything about this trip was perfect! I cannot wait to come back and stay here again. Thank you Mona!

Our stay at Poipu Hale Ohana was one of the best VRBO experiences we've ever had. Mona was a kind, communicative, responsive and helpful host. The house has everything you could possibly need to have all of the conveniences of home, plus amenities that you never find in a VRBO rental. The kitchen appliance list is for real, and the knives are sharp and good quality. The pantry contained a full spice set, olive oil, vinegars and some other staples. We cooked several family meals while there and enjoyed them outside in the ocean view gazebo. The AC mini splits work great. We used the snorkle and beach gear, and the 2 wagons made walking transport to the lovely Poipu Beach so easy when we didn’t want to pack up the car. The bonus downstairs apartment was truly a bonus, and gave our son and DIL some space from the rest of the group. We easily walked to Poipu and shipwreck beaches and beyond - the great location is not exaggerated. This is a super comfortable, extremely clean, perfectly located, non-pretentious house. It feels like a place real people live, unlike so many of the glossy, sterile places that abound in the Poipu beach area. If homey good vibe rentals are what you are looking for, grab dates while you can! And look through the renovation photos in the welcome book. Mona and her partner transformed and updated her grandfather's house, and it's really an unbelievable transformation.

This home was gorgeous, clean, new renno, garage with beach toys, chairs. Even beach towels were included. Every kitchen appliance, gadget, spice, condiment. 2 washer/dryer combos with detergent. Literally, no need to bring anything, even shampoo. Host was lovely. Seperate apartment in lower level. Great beds. Best beaches on island. Shipwreck Beach great for boogie boarding and never crowded. Turtles on Poipu Beach. Great eats and lots of food trucks 10 minutes away in Koloa. Stock up at Costco in Lihue on way in. Grilled burgers and brats in covered gazebo. Waimea Canyon 30 minutes, highly recommended Napali Boat tour and Smith Family Luau. Drive to Hanalei on a clear day. Enjoy!!

Kitchen and Laundry was more than anyone can expect. I can’t think of one item that was overlooked. The owner thought of everything you could need and want. The home was lovely. It was well organized and very clean. The owners made us feel welcome, communicated well, and even provided a few snacks and some water bottles. Any questions we had were answered. They even have a great binder full of resources for our stay from things to do and recommended restaurants. Our location was very close to the beach so we could walk there every day. The Aloha spirit was definitely felt.

This property is so beautiful! The pictures don't do it justice. The owners have thought of everything! There were 9 of us (6 adults, 1-17, 1-15, and 1-7 year old). Walking distance to the beaches, with all the chairs, umbrellas, and boogie boards, and wagons we needed. It is a good location to go to either the north shore or up the mountain. Access to the health club was a big plus! The pool there was great there! The owners were so quick to respond to any questions we had and they provided excellent instructions and points of interest/restaurants on the island. The ocean view from the home is magnificent, and the gazebo was our favorite gathering place for morning coffee and meals. Our entire family would recommend this home to anyone and hope that we are able to come back some day soon!

THE MOST AMAZING VRBO EVER

Monas property is PRISTINE!!! I mean PERFECT! The views are better than the photos and the house is immaculate and well appointed! She thought of EVERYTHING with this VRBO!!!! Anything and everything you could think of was there ready for us! tons of spices too !!! YOu will NOT be disappointed!

A dream vacation

We stayed at this home for a week and it was truly one of the best vacation homes I’ve ever stayed at. The thoughtfulness that went into everything from a note with goodies to greet us, all the bathrooms with a huge supply of shampoo/soap, the kitchen full of any tool you need, beach gear and the overall beauty of the home and decor was unmatched. The home was a big part of our love for this incredible island. We will be back!!

The house was amazing! So relaxing, clean, comfortable and close to the beach. Mona was fabulous! She setup an actual crib for our grand baby, had a highchair ready for us, the yard with gazebo was perfect for hanging out and having dinner. Off the charts amazing place to stay! Mona was wonderful to communicate with and made our stay perfect.

Paradise vacation home!

This house is a paradise! It is clean, beautifully furnished, and well equiped with everything for cooking. The magic is the cozy feel, inside and outside. My son and his family lived in the main house, my husband and I took the suite below. We had both privacy and together time. Every meal was outside in the comfy, beautiful, lighted gazebo. Views from the house, yard, and gazebo all featured ocean, mountains, and flowering, colorful plumeria trees. We all continually said it couldnt have been more perfect. We took the provided boogie boards and snorkels in the wagon and walked to the neighborhood beaches. One section had exciting waves to ride, the other side was calm for snorkeling. We saw so many colorful fish of all shapes and sizes, including the humuhumunukunukuapua'a! The special treat was watching the sea turtles come in to rest on the beach! Another bonus was the athletic club membership. Teenagers worked out, swam, played bocce ball, and everyone including us grandparents, laughed at ourselves enjoying the water slides. Our Ohana vacation was full of the Aloha spirit that was present in this incredible paradise home! We are grateful for the treasured memories!

Absolutely Lovely

Travelled with family of six and 1 family friend. From booking to check out, Mona was an effective and excellent communicator. The property speaks for itself, wonderfully clean and inviting, short walk to the beach and easy access to Koloa/Poipu shopping and dining. Kitchen was well kitted with a variety of appliances and quality cookware, views were splendid, Plumerias were abounding and the grounds were well kept. We made use of the snorkeling and body board gear nearly every day. If relaxing with family or friends in Poipu is a priority, then Hale Ohana Poipu is a great location option.

Family Vacation

Words and pictures don't do this house justice. We had an incredible stay, and everyone had the best time. Everything from the house's layout, unique design, and cleanliness to the amazing location and walkability made for a vacation we will remember forever. We could walk to the beach and go tide pooling—everything that we wanted to do was just steps from the house. I can't say enough good things about the host, property, and location. Best place we ever stayed!

The attention to detail here is amazing. All was thoughtfully presented and impeccably arranged, plus this place was well stocked with Hawaii appropriate items for our stay such as beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, beachwagons, and beach toys. Mona had provided a nice array of fruit and snacks, plus the separate apartment downstairs was so helpful for the noisy little ones in our party. We particularly enjoyed the hot outdoor shower, the tropical evening comfort of the gazebo and nice selection of fun board games. Highly recommended!

Amazing house close to the beach

The house was amazing for an extended family trip. Everyone one had enough space to spread out. The house was spotless and the amenities were very thoughtful. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone. Great communication with the host too.

Beyond our expectations

We came with the family of eight and rented the entire place. The owners went above and beyond and every area to make sure we felt comfortable and was readily available in the event that we had any questions. The beds were super comfortable. All the little extras, like snacks, pineapple, gift, baskets, snorkeling, gear, boogie boards, sand, toys, beach towels, beach chairs. They really thought about everything. It was just a short walk to one of the best beaches in Kauai. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for everything, and for making our trip.

Just pack your swimsuit and flip flops! This property has everything you need!

Thank you Mona for the fabulous stay at your lovely home in Poipu! The property was fantastic and the home had everything that we needed for 2 families of 4 during our Spring Break. This is by far the cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed at, and the attention to detail was evident in every room. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to cook at home. The house included everything you could need for the beach such as beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards which our kids really enjoyed. The bathrooms were well equipped with shower supplies and hair dryers and even a straightener ladies! The laundry was an absolute game changer considering how many outdoor activities we did, and providing laundry detergent was a really nice bonus! The outdoor shower was great for getting sand off but really was a full service shower that we ended up using every day. Overall our stay was perfect and we were very happy with the location in Poipu. A quick 5 minute walk to the local beach plus the athletic club with its pool made it feel like a resort. The gazebo was a perfect spot to sip coffee. All of the different activities we did were an easy drive from this central location. We didn’t even need to research in advance because Mona had a book with everything we could need to look up for restaurants, shopping, beaches and more including the family history of the property and renovation photos! Overall a fantastic experience and we hope to return some day!
