A Relaxing Oasis...

My friend and I loved our stay here after a recommendation that did not dissapoint. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was perfect for what we needed. We liked that there was variety each day and made-to-order eggs. The pools were always clean and well kept. We weren't the biggest fans of the slushy cocktails, but the spirit mixers were good. The hotel was very well kept for a seaside stay. We had the premier pool-side room which was large and the balcony had a nice view. The view from the rooftop pools were stunning and very relaxing. The biggest thing worth mentioning is how professional and friendly the staff were. They always made us feel welcome.

Service, amenities, and overall room design was high quality. Especially the service. My main complaint is the wet mildew smell throughout the halls and rooms. In the hotel halls there were various accumulated puddles. They need to invest in better drainage or something. Aside from the smell, very positive and comfortable experience.

The hotel is quite nice. Unfortunately our room was full of mould and damp. The staff were very happy to clean the air conditioning vents but it didn’t help. The damp smell and mould in bathroom was concerning. The breakfast was very average most mornings we skipped breakfast. The pools were great. A quiet location, an easy stroll along the waterfront to shopping and restaurants.

Blackouts

Was excited to stay at BlueSotel SMART with it being our first adults only hotel stay. Initially we were impressed by the room but that quickly was not the case. Only half the shower head worked due to what looked to be calcium buildup, so there was not much water pressure. There is a bathtub in the bathroom but when we turned on the faucet, the water literally trickled in. So it was not usable. It was however nice to have a balcony. Room was big and comfortable but some tiny ants by the water/coffee machine when we checked in. In the hallway there was cut outs in the ceiling, possible previous water leak? However, the worse part of it was the multiple blackouts at night we experienced. Two nights in a row, was watching tv to wind down and there were multiple black outs in a row. The first night 3 or 4 and the second night 2. I know it effected the whole hotels because the bright blue lights in front of the hotel cut off as well. Only gave the hotel a higher rating due to the staff being friendly.

Beautiful property

Beautiful hotel and pool. Loved the no kids aspect . Just 200 m to the beach and 5 minto the new night market area. Great breakfast and great friendly service.

Good but not great

The hotel is in a good location and had a nice rooftop pool with a great view. It was, however, not very clean, with towels, glasses and food plates left lying around. The room itself was not bad, but the bathtub was dirty upon arrival and the toilet had a persistent bad odour. The rooms also weren’t very sound proof, and with the people who stay here it can be rather loud when you are trying to sleep.
