Very comfortable stay. Not sure we chose the best location to explore Kyoto but we managed with the bus and trains And lots of walking. Lovely friendly staff.

Nice hotel, great staff, excellent breakfast with so many different choices of food and always replenished so didn’t run out. Location has very little for dining out although one Ramen restaurant across the street was excellent with a variety of other food too. Had to walk about 10 mins to get to an area with more restaurants.

It is a bit out of the way, a 15 min walk from the closest subway station but very close to a variety of bus stops- it’s about a 30 min transit ride to go to any of the tourist attractions. The rooms were large for Japanese standards which is great if you’re travelling with a lot of luggage. The carpets were a bit dirty and it would’ve been nice if there were extra pillows and they replenished waters overnight but overall a good stay for a good price.

Friendly staff good location. As the rooms are small and compact which is a standard in Japan I would have liked to be able to open the window to get some fresh air in. Overall great hotel , reasonably priced

Everything was GREAT, however I think that the breakfast offerrings can be improved based on the price charged when compared to other hotel breakfast offerrings and definitly there is a need for more washer/dryer laundry unites ... the 2 combo unites cannot servive that entire hotel....it was like playing hide and seek and catch to be able to wash and dry clothing !

We stayed in a twin room and this was by far the biggest room we had in Japan. We were both comfortably able to have our carry on bags out and access them without stumbling over each other. Appears to be a newer hotel - has extra amenities if you forget anything. They have coin laundry which we utilized so pack accordingly if you want to use that. You don’t need laundry detergent as it’s preloaded with some. Some things to note but were not deal breakers for us. Closest metro is an 8-10 min walk. It only comes every 10ish mins so plan accordingly. There are bus stops near by but we found transportation a bit pricier here. The road noise was pretty loud especially at night. Our room faced a street (but I also think it faced part of a building as our window was a “frosted” window because we couldn’t actually see out of it. I did wear earplugs because of this and it was better. Overall it was a very nice hotel, and we would book again if we return
