Grounds are way more beautiful and lush than the pictures show. Pool area has cool and warm and hot pools. AC in the room was nice and cold. Excellent water pressure and hot water in the shower. Front desk helped us contact the rafting and chocolate activities we did. Location is 5 minute walk from the El Salto rope swing. A few minutes driving to get to the center of La Fortuna. Close to everything but just off the main road so very quiet - you don't hear any traffic - just the birdsong. There is also a rushing waterfall and river on the back of the property that made a beautiful soothing background noise. There is no closet/hangers or way to hang up wet things (or towels) unless you bring your own hooks/clothesline, which we did. Brought simple plastic over-the-door hooks which were lifesavers. Put the clothesline outside but nothing really dries unless it is in the direct blazing sun or inside away from the humidity.

I stayed 7 nights at the resort, it was beautifully landscaped, restaurant staff, was great very attentive at the restaurant and brought drinks to the pool, food was above par and fast. Cons: our bathroom didn't work for 4 nights out of our stay. having two kids, my Mother in Law, made it very inconvenient to have to walk down to the restaurant to use the bathroom for 4 days was ridiculous, morning and night. Telling hotel staff, seemed to bother them. Hot tubs were warm for the first 3 days, finally by the last 4 nights they were HOT. BE AWARE THAT YOU GET ONE POOL TOWEL PER PERSON PER DAY, no exceptions.. going in the pool in the morning you have to use the same towel if you go in again at night, no exchanges. and really no where to hang them to dry. seemed little excessive with kids. Restaurant: MENU VERY OUTDATED, didn't match pics The hotel mattresses and furniture were super hard and outdated, really in a "house" they need more sitting options that are more comfy. they did accommodate us with an extra mattress for our babies to sleep on the floor next to us. I tried to communicate with the manager to address the toilet issue to help in a finical discount for the inconvenience but haven't heard anything from them since we checked out late, 5, assuming they don't care.. Beautiful place and close to town are a plus breakfast had 3 of the same options every morning, idk know why they couldn't' offer something different when your there for a week, it got old

Nice garden and pool. The room was not good. It was too small for four people. The wifi did not reach the room, there was no hooks, wardrobe, shelves or any place to hang wet towels and clothes. We had to have all our packing hanging on doors and the rooms only chair. Bad lighting and too firm beds. The AC was good. We asked if we could change to another room twice but the staff never came back to us with an answer.

The property was very nice and the service was excellent. A few things to know about the property: 1) the grounds are stunning and much nicer than he Expedia pictures. Very lush gardens leading you to both the pool area and the restaurant. 2) very good parking so no issues there. 3) they include free breakfast which very nice and tasty and the service at the restaurant was excellent. One night we chose to eat dinner there as well and the food and service were also very good. 4) the property is about a three minute drive from the centre of town so easy to get anywhere. Since parking is not that easy downtown, we chose to take uber which was about $4 5! My only small complaint is that the rooms are very basic. We had a room with two queen beds but there is no room for storage, no shelving for clo tub es and no hooks for towels. Overall, great place to stay and would stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, everything felt well taken care of. Check in/out were simple and quick which I appreciated after a long day of travel. Price was reasonable and overall it was a really good experience.
