Wonderful Stay with Wildlife and Convenience We had a great time staying at this hotel! The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the surroundings offered a unique experience with wildlife like pigs and capuchin monkeys right on the property. One of the highlights was the walkable distance to Mystic Mountain, which made exploring super convenient. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, though it’s served at the resort located a short 5-minute drive down the hill. That said, the staff went above and beyond by packing breakfast for us the night before since we had an early departure. Overall, a peaceful and memorable stay—we’d definitely come back!

This Lodge is a modern tree house. We had a wonderful experience. The view and the calmness are everything. The double rain shower make my shower experience remarkable. Luis and Francisco were the best, responded promptly to all our requests. This property is in the rain forest, be aware of tiny armless creatures. We were fine with that even though our city kids were a little hysterical at times. There is a shuttle to breakfast and dinner. The Mystico Bridge park is right across the property. The view of the volcano from the room can be affected by cloud, I am sure it might more visible during the summer season. I will stay there again in the future.

A perfect rainforest retreat

It was our anniversary trip, so we wanted it to be unique, special, and filled with adventure. This place was a gem, absolutely beautiful, clean, with great service, and perfect views. Larry, the manager, and his team went above and beyond to answer all of our questions, make our arrangements, and make us feel comfortable. I'm so glad I found this place, and we had the opportunity for such an incredible experience.

Holy smokes. This property is EVERYTHING. Don’t hesitate to stay here. Watching a toucan fly by the shower and hearing the birds was a core memory. Extremely close within a short walk to the hanging bridges park, which is also well worth the entry. Clean and wonderful staff.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is off the beaten path with each room a separate bungalow with one entire wall a window looking out on the jungle and volcano in the distance. Whe could hear Howler Monkeys at night and birds continuously. One drawback is dining choices near the hotel are very limited with only one restaurant and coffee shop within a five mile distance. Still, very enjoyable stay that gives one the sense of staying in the jungle.

Wonderful stay! Beautiful rooms, jut as pictured! You can not beat the view! And the breakfast at nearby Lost Iguana is superb! The staff was so nice and helpful. I would recommend Sangregado Lodge!

Beautiful views

Wonderful stay, unbeatable views. Check in/out process was easy and staff were very friendly and responsive. Breakfast buffet included at Blue Hibiscus, neighboring hotel, was great. All around, we were looking for someplace we can enjoy the views and immerse ourselves in nature, this was definitely the spot.

Sangregado Lodge was a great stay. Conveniently located across the street from Mistico Park. The staff is nice, friendly, and responsive through what's app. We did have some trouble scheduling tours through what's app however. Be sure to confirm your excursions are scheduled. The view from the room was amazing! The only negative are the bugs in the room. We found many different bugs when we first entered the room. We shoo'd out as many as we could but they'd still find their way in.

Sangregado Lodge has to be one of the BEST PLACES I'VE EVER STAYED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE and I've traveled a lot. The rooms are ridiculously beautiful. Modern with amazing views (looking at the volcano every morning was breathtaking). The glass shower was a plus! I loved that it's only 11 villas and that it was quiet. Francisco and Luis are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! They did all they could to make my stay at the lodge an unforgettable experience. I'll never forget it ❀. So friendly, kind and professional with a level of hospitality that I haven't seen anywhere else. They are also very knowledgeable about so many things including flora and fauna and the area. The breakfast area is very far. I recommend ALWAYS taking the trolly. The people at the breakfast spot were very nice and kind while professional. I wish I had stayed longer. I was actually sad when I left. I would have extended my stay here instead of going to Guanacaste. I loved that they are also right across the mĂ­stico park. Please go! It's amazing! I recommend a tour guide. Larry was also helpful with check-in and check-out. Thank you. I honestly could keep going and going on about this place 💚 All in all FIVE STARS! Muchas gracias y pura vida! This hotel is not near much, however we were leaving La Fortuna and headed back up towards Liberia and had plans to visit Mistico Park so we chose this hotel for its location. But the VIEW was everything! And the staff was extremely friendly. The shower was an experience. All glass windows with a view of the jungle and Arenal. The only complaint we had was the bed seemed to be broken. It could have happened recently but it made for an uncomfortable sleep for my husband. We told the front desk after we checked out and they said they would address it. I have no doubt they will. The included breakfast isn’t on site, fyi. It’s a bit down the road. We ate dinner there and breakfast the next day and both meals were just ok. But it was convenient and the staff was friendly.
