Casa de Campo has quickly become our family vacation go-to. Itâs an amazing resort community and La Sibila is in the center of it all in Los Lagos. Central, but actually quite private on a quiet cul-du-sac, the house also backs up to the Links golf course, so you are really sheltered while being super close to the Beach club, and an easy drive to the hotel, tennis, marina or Altos de Chavon. Betty (host) was extremely communicative and fluent in both English and Spanish. She was in-touch and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we had a perfect stay. The cook/housekeeper Maria was pleasant and kept the house spotless, also an incredible cook and while we planned the meals together she took such initiative to do little extras like get the kids ice cream, or make a side she knew the group would appreciate. You can tell she has a lot of experience. Kenny was quiet but also super helpful at meals, coordinating massages, little fix ups (a loose doorknob or forgotten safe-code) and at keeping the exterior and pool beautiful. Both Kenny and Maria were flexible, kind, and accommodating. Notably, they only speak Spanish, so a translation app is handy if you need it. Our only hiccup stemmed from the fact that we didnât communicate well at first, so we werenât clear what the staff hours were, but that is easily resolved.The house layout is perfect for 1-2 families, several couples, or a multi-generational group. We look toward to returning!
