Due to flight delays, we were very late and owner made sure to leave us our keys available. Nice shower and comfortable beds. If in area, I would stay again.

I walked into my room and it smelled like the bedding and carpet had not ever been cleaned. Carpets in the hallway are dirty and stained. The room I stayed in looked NOTHING like the photo online. There were holes in the wall where wall hanging units had been removed (or torn?) out? I got there around 8pm and had a hard time locating a staff member to check in. Said staff member disappeared after I was checked in again.

We arrived for one night. The room we were given was not clean. We were immediately changed, with many apologies, to a larger and more spacious room.Overall it was nice, the room we got was very large, with a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, a few dishes. The maintenance is not good, the taps were leaking all night. But, and this is a big but! The view was worth it all. We saw the sunset, the sunrise over the lake and it was amazing and spectacular!

It was advertised as remodeled. My room was not remodeled, and I had a problem with my toilet. Saw many code violations. Would never stay there again!

The smoke detector was missing. The towels were tiny and very thin and had many brownish stains. The bedspread had blood stains. The bedside lamp was broken and not working. The decking and stairs were warped, slanted, cracking and peeling and did not feel safe at all. The private beach is located across the busy highway and there was no crosswalk or lights making it very very unsafe to cross.

It was a rainy chilly day when we checked in. We turned on the heat. After half an hour of blowing only cold air my husband went to the front desk. The young man came upstairs and held his hand for several minutes then declared we would have heat in 20-30 minutes. After another half hour of cold air I went to the front desk and requested a room change. I am sensitive to cold and will awaken if the room is cold. The man said they were fully booked. So I returned and turned off the cold air machine, closed the curtains, and opened the room door so the warm air in the hall could come in. We were fully dressed and reading. A woman soon arrived with keys to a much nicer room. They were not fully booked. The hall was noisy until after 10 with young children running around but eventually quieted. I arose early and went to the dining room where I fixed a cup of coffee and enjoyed a beautiful sunrise over the lake. It was apparent breakfast would not be much so we went to a terrific diner for breakfast. I would stay again just make sure there was heat.

Lesson learned! I should have looked at the bird's eye view of the hotel. It may just be me, when looking at the photos of the hotel I was led to believe that you step out of the hotel onto a deck and you're lakeside with an outstanding view! Lakeside is across a major roadway in the region! We booked for a week, for the Nascar race, and our room was very small, no chairs or desk to sit at! Floors are extremely uneven, bathroom door gets hung up on the floor! Shower is really small! Don't drop anything, you have to open the door to pick it up! No vent in the bathroom! Our main reason for the stay was to be close to the race track! That was excellent! Staff are very kind and excellent people, the over average to negative review is for the place itself! Photos are misleading, at least to me! We were "catfished!" Know what you're getting into, I will be more diligent in looking for a place to stay! Some rooms looked to be sizable, ours was not! I was planning on staying there for the week and have a nice quiet relaxing time! Our room was not conducive to that!! Disappointed!

I had a very small room. It’s was clean but didn’t have the lake view but didn’t expect one for the price. The price was very reasonable as I didn’t have much money to spend on a room so it worked just fine for me. I’m sure I will look at staying again once the weather gets cold. I hope you will still have the $80 a night or less would be a nice thought too.. 🙂

The property is located near a regal estate resort built on the same lake. Staff members were untrustworthy I think they charge more for a room that wasn’t even close to the room you booked. Needless to say I checked out early after I saw the bugs!!

Was nice bc u could seat by the lake but there were screw coming up from the walk way as u went in tiles falling out of the ceiling and they never brought clean towels 4 the next day stairs where falling a part some unsafe it definitely not worth the almost of money they changed me 2 stay
