The resort is beautiful, and the poolside servers and maids were excellent, providing great service throughout our stay. However, there were several issues that made the experience less relaxing than expected.
Our initial room, 349, was listed as an ocean view but was obstructed. The front desk quickly and easily moved us to room 645, which was exactly what we expected, and I appreciated how smoothly that was handled.
During check-in, we were not informed about the resort’s free activities or given the voucher card for restaurant discounts, and we only discovered these on the last day. At The Valley Isle Arcade, one of the prizes was mislabeled and not honored, and I overheard staff gossiping about another guest, which felt extremely unprofessional.
The concierge desk mentions free gifts and activities, but I found the process confusing and not well explained.
I expected to feel completely relaxed and at home, but I often felt anxious instead. While the location is perfect and some staff were wonderful, the disorganization, lack of communication, and overall experience did not feel worth the high cost. If you are seeking a true luxury experience, other resorts, such as the Grand Wailea, may be a better choice. For these reasons, I would not return and would not recommend this resort to friends or family.
