Casa Tradicional da Ilha do Pico a 300 Metros da Água

This house was built at the beginning of the last century and recently renovated by a family passionate about Pico, who sought to provide the utmost comfort so that family vacations could create lasting shared memories. Fully equipped kitchen, a large outdoor table for meals with views of the mountains and the sea, a swing, a kiddie pool, an outdoor fire pit, a cooking stove, a vegetable garden with fresh produce, and a 300-meter walk to the sea at Poça das Arainhas.<br>São João is a fishing village, but there are also many farmers who make their living raising cattle—specifically cows. It’s a peaceful place; the São João trail runs right past the house—it begins near Aldeia da Fonte and ends at São João Park, a fantastic spot for exercising on the fitness trail or simply enjoying a picnic (there’s a picnic basket at the house). You can also enjoy the playground and watch the deer. There are binoculars in the house so you can get a better view of the landscape—and maybe even spot a whale.
