The room itself looked to be updated. The staff was friendly. It wasn't super close to the main area of town which was fine because we had a car. There were some hiking trails not far from us. Overall, we would stay there again.

Lovely hotel, great rooms, nice pool and gym, lovely views. For a brand new property was surprised and disappointed just how loud the ac is in the room. Most hotels can keep a permanent quiet fan going, this was a real racket and blasted very cold air, so we preferred not to have it on overnight. Other than that, lovely.

There was a dog wandering around the lobby and dining room which seemed to belong to a manager, not acceptable. Breakfast was bland, coffee was cold and full of grounds. Rooms were nice and large.

Hotel was very clean. No one at front desk at check in or check out, had to wait a long time and actually call the hotel to get someone to come out. Heating/cooling was difficult to figure out in the room. Pool was nice.

We decided to try a new to us hotel this last trip to Lake Placid. I ultimately chose Cambria because it was newer and looked beautiful. It offered accessibility rooms (which we needed because our son had surgery when we were there). The rooms looked spacious and it was close enough to everything we needed. It exceeded all of our expectations. Convenient parking outside our door too. Also great that the restaurant was attached to the hotel. We came in late our first day and it was nice to not travel to get food. Also had breakfast another day after the surgery. So nice and the food was tasty and typically priced for the area. The only thing I question is the sliding doors on the bathroom. Why?
