A beautiul place with some room for improvement.
The house was amazing, especially with the lovely gallery of unique paintings by Colin Maclaren and marvellous views of the lake plus great for stargazing. However the house definitely needs some cleaning, the fridge is in an unclean state and the oven emitts a lot of smoke when we tried to use it, also the fireplace when we tried to start a fire. Also, we must have missed the description that the house comes with 2 cats, and 2 of us are actually allergic to cats, luckily we had medicine.
We would also appreciate if the house came with cleaning service and we are not warned in the book of rules that we can be charged if the house is left untidy, makes the stay slightly stressful.
There was insufficient hot water for the 5 of us to shower in the evening and the heating in some rooms are also not enough. There shld at least be warning that we need to take turns to shower so that we don't end up covered in bubbles when the water suddenly turned cold...
