Our stay at Titikaka lodge was delightful. Justa is a great cook and took good care of us. The room was sufficient and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone
Titicaca Lodge is a wonderful alternative to a home stay on the beautiful island of Amantani. While all the guests share the bathroom, you have a comfortable private room for a peaceful retreat. The food is great--invest in the meals. Ask for the hot Pisco at night before bed. I can't say enough about how I enjoyed my stay. The family is as delightful as they are helpful. This is not a 5-star resort, but it is a 5-star experience. This is one of those travel moments I will never forget.
Great experience. The owners of the lodge were very helpful in making our stay wonderful. One thing we did not initially understand was that we needed to take the tour that starts at 8:30am to get to the island. Other than the tour, there are not many affordable options for boat taxi's. Oswaldo (hotel owner), and Percy (employee) helped tremendously to set up logistics for us to arrive to their island. They set up a tour for us with a friend of theirs at Uros to see the floating islands. (Exploring Uros can not be done without a tour).
Food was served by the host family. There aren't restaurant options in the area. Food by the family was amazing. 3 course meals of exquisite home cooked typical peruvian food. We had lunch ready for us upon arrival, dinner and breakfast before departure. Cost of food not included in reservation but is expected to be added.
The family is very sweet and knowledgable. They took us on the sunset tour and ruin tour which had beautiful views.
Overall, wonderful and unforgettable experience. We would highly recommend this location for a cultural stay on the lake titicaca islands.

Great option in Amantani
Justa and Osvaldo are the Titikaka Lodge owners and hosts. This is a great option if you prefer to sleep in a private room and have access to a hot shower instead of staying in town with local families. This is also a great option to contribute directly with a local family, instead of going through agencies that keep for themselves most of the tourism incomes.
There are two ports in Amantani, be sure your boat captain knows you are staying at the lodge, so he can leave you in the correspondant port. If you call to the lodge and request it, Justa will come to wait for you at the port for no additional fee.
Mr. Oswaldo, the owner was very friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and the surrounding beautiful. We have been there in June 2018 and it had some minus degrees without heating in the room or an hot shower. In the dining room we got a heater so it was possible to survive.
Thanks to Mr. Oswaldo
