We were charged for the room before we arrived, was supposed to be pay at the property and I was wanting to use a different card than I reserved it with. Original room smelled like sewer gas, the nice young man at the desk upgraded our room and put us in a very nice suite. So overall it was a pleasant experience.

The curtain in our room is almost falling off the wall and the toilet paper holder is ready to fall off the wall in the bathroom. The restaurant was awesome. Best steak we have ever had. Our server, I believe his name was Alexander was simply delightful

The place to stay in Lamar!

Great historic hotel. Clean rooms and very comfortable beds. Very friendly staff and the best breakfast we had on our trip! Cool bar and awesome restaurant!

Very modest property. Ice cold air conditioning and comfortable bed. Otherwise, nothing special. No morning coffee or staff anywhere in sight upon checking out.

Initially, the clerk gave us a non-handicapped room. After checking it and realizing it wouldn’t work, he traded the room for a handicapped friendly. The room was outside entry, and wasn’t noisy in spite of the heavy truck traffic among 50-287. The bed was comfortable. The main problems we had were the lack of a place to hang our clothes (had to use the shower curtain rod), and there was no bed stand on one side (I use a CPAP, and had to place it in a small suitcase to elevate it. I also despised having DirecTV in the room, and probably wouldn’t stay here again for that reason. It was complicated to use. We couldn’t get our favorite news channel- kept skipping over it- so I gave up and used my tablet with WiFi instead. The WiFi connection worked great! Not a bad room for the price.

This was a very unique adorable hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the pool and hot tub area were clean. Would definitely stay here again.
