Harpers Haven

Come stay at our inviting 3 Bedroom, 2 bath house nestled in the bluffs just a 5 minute drive to the Mississippi River and 1 mile from Village Creek. Enjoy the convenience of the fully equipped kitchen with Keurig coffee maker, large master with queen bed and ensuite bathroom with oversized shower. The house also includes a private bedroom with twin-over-full size bunk bed and additional twin bed, private bedroom with full-size bed (and pack-n-play), and futon that sleeps 2 in living room. Bed linens and covers are NOT provided. 1-2 pillows are available per bed.

This property is located along a paved road with a beautiful valley view. 4+ parking spaces and a long driveway can easily accommodate boats, trailers, campers/RVs.

Enjoy outdoor dining or just lounging on the large deck, fire pit, and private yard. A campsite style grill provided. Charcoal or lighting materials are not provided.

It was a very nice place. It was clean, spacious, and a great place for the kids. My main complaint is that the description did not seem as clear as it could have been. The fact that you had to bring your own linens was hidden at the bottom of the page and barely mentioned, and all the pictures had made beds. If linens are not included, the pictures should show under beds.

The house and property fulfilled our needs and expectations. It was clean and comfortable and sits in a quiet and beautiful setting. Nearby Lansing is such a quaint and fun town with unique shopping experiences and good bars and restaurants. Being in a river town was a new experience for us and we’ll go back!

The house is large and cozy. There were more than enough utensils and cookware. We had 2 boats, 2 trucks, and a car. There was plenty of space in the drive to park. I would recommend it.

My aunt and uncle live in Harpers Ferry. We flew in to visit with her. Country side is beautiful and a short drive to her house. Loved every minute we were there hated to go!

Harpers Haven

We loved our stay at Harpers Haven. It was the perfect location to get to the local trout streams. The house had everything we needed and more. The area is quiet and the view from the deck is beautiful. The house is much larger than it looks from the outside or pictures. They even had an air mattress that fit perfectly in the walk in closet. It was great for the 13 year old for a little extra privacy. Everything was very clean and we all enjoyed it!! We would definitely stay again.

Very nice place

The owners answered all my questions. They even got back to me if I had a questions while at the property. I was reading a book on the holy spirit that they provided. What a powerful book. You have a great property that I recommend anyone to visit!

Would def go back. I didn't like that I had to take my own bedding- but maybe that's normal..?.. Clean, easy to get to, decorated nicely, safe and way way way better than the house we stayed at last year!

Great family getaway

We stayed here for a summer weekend mini-vacation to Lansing. We found fun things in the area for our three kids, ages 7, 5, and 18 mos. We loved the peaceful setting of the house. Our kids enjoyed the inside and outside toys and the house had bedrooms/beds for everyone. We had to bring our own bedding which ended up working out just fine; it is extra to pack for a family of five so consider that in your plans. Use of the garage was nice as well. We didn't prepare meals here this time the kitchen seemed well stocked to be able to do so. We would definitely stay here again.

Effigy Mounds Girls Trip

We enjoyed the house. It was very clean and comfortable. We found a number of wineries in the area and enjoyed tasting the new wines we found. This house was very central to everything we wanted to see and we had a great time.
