Nice place. Has potential with a few tweaks.
The stay in general was good. I provided 4 stars because it was probably closer to 3.75 stars. Not outstanding but reasonable. The neighborhood is quiet and some houses were more run down than others but a few well kept homes in the area.
The front yard was was not kept up. There were 2 big piles of dead branches in the front yard and an old beat up rake left in the front. No grass but I suspect that was a function of water conservation. The garbage collection cans were full and slightly over flowing. Thankfully 2 days later, garbage was picked up. That was simply bad timing. The back yard was not the greatest. The side of the house where the garage is located, was a bit of trash. Not kept up. No grass in the back yard and more dead branches in a pile. There were 2 buckets with mops and broom and dust pan that looked left behind. There were chairs in the back that looked like left overs against the back of the house.
Inside of the home was clean and fresh smelling. The back door handle needs replacing as it was very difficult to open. The refrigerator door does not close properly and needs to be pushed to close properly. The kitchen faucet needs some adjusting and it does not freely move from sink to sink.
The placement of the 2 hide-a-beds make it very inconvenient to watch TV but that was very minor. We moved the couch for better viewing and unfortunately found pop-corn, dusk and an old sock under the couch. It appears the cleaning crew forgot to get under there. The laundry room light was out and probably needs a light bulb. In the hall bathroom, the soap dispenser tube popped out and would not stay in the dispenser. (Not a big deal as we brought our own hand soap.). The area under the kitchen counter facing the dining room table, close to the back door, was not cleaned with what appeared to be red juice or something. Cleaning folks missed this too.
That said... here are some good points.
- Inside was inviting.
- Bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of supplies if needed.
- Bedrooms were very clean and bedding was also clean.
- Beds were comfortable and nice to have plenty of pillows. :-)
- Air conditioning was great.
- Close by Albertson's grocery and other shopping.
- Quiet neighborhood
- Appreciated the kitchen plates, cups, cutlery, pots & pans although we did not need them.
- Nice to have coffee maker available but we brought our own.
Overall, good place to stay after better clean up.
