Hughes is a lofted tiny home for two â just enough space, and exactly the right amount. Queen bed under the eaves, private hot tub on the deck, fire pit stocked and ready for the night ahead. Part of Notestone Reserve, our family-owned 14-acre property in Laurelville â right in the heart of the Hocking Hills.
Most guests spend the whole stay in their own lane: hot tub, fire pit, patio. It sits in a small cluster of four tiny homes at Notestone Reserve. Each unit has its own outdoor space â privacy panels around the hot tub and natural shrub and tree coverage between units keep things feeling separate without being walled off. The shared game room is a short walk across the property when you want it, easy to skip when you don't.
Named for Langston Hughes, whose work found beauty and weight in everyday life â the kind of noticing that comes easier when you slow down enough to let it.
Sleeping
âą Lofted queen bed with crisp linens â the beam above the bed sits approximately 29" from the mattress, so you'll want to sit up carefully. Once you're lying down it's perfectly comfortable; just something to know going in.
âą A note on the loft stairs: the staircase is a standard build for a tiny home â all to code, but the ceiling comes down as you climb and the last step up is higher than the others. Most guests navigate it without issue. If stairs are a mobility concern, our glass homes â particularly Thoreau, which has level entry from the parking area â are worth a look instead.
