Relaxing week
Really well equipped & clean accommodation in peaceful rural location. Nice garden with pool and very quiet area made for a super relaxing break. Half hour drive to Mirepoix and Foix with their medieval charm, good markets and restaurants. Foix in particular has great places to eat. Would recommend this accommodation

Blue cottage review
This place is so good that we came back twice! Lovely secluded location, nice pool, spacious living areas and a great spot for visiting the Ariege region. Thoroughly recommended.

Great for exploring Lavelanet area.
Very enjoyable stay at gite on edge of town. Just a short drive into town centre. Basic but very comfortable accommodation. Everything was clean and serviceable with comfortable beds and plenty of hot water in bathroom and separate shower room. We felt the kitchen was a not well lit and the outside furniture was due an upgrade! Despite these minor criticisms we thought the gite represented good value.

a bit disappointed - un peu deçus
The location is great and the house is attractive. However, the musty smell that permeates every room was very unpleasant. The house needed to be aired out. What was even more unpleasant were the dishes with crusty remnants of food that had been put away in the cupboards. The washing machine had not been given any attention either, showing signs of mildew, and also smelling poorly. The dish drying rack had not been cleaned in a while either. Fortunately, there was the pool to distract us !

Excellent property in a great location to explore this beautiful area of the Pyrénées.
It’s as good as it looks in the pictures and will definitely consider this property again. The owners are really good communicators which meant there was no problems at all. Thoroughly recommended.

Great Place To Stay
Lovely property set in lovely grounds. We had a great week staying here and with great weather. There were only two of us but the house is spacious enough and equipped for four people. Excellent pool. Caretakers were friendly , on hand and responsive if there were any queries. The village of Lavelanet is a fifteen minute walk from the property and has the necessary shops needed for groceries etc. Lots to do in the area in terms of places of interest, restaurants, markets and local festivities. We would happily return.

A lovely house with spacious, well maintained garden, in semi- rural setting on edge of village.
Property as described and pictured. Quiet location on the edge of town. Several bakeries and supermarkets in town, and a few basic restaurants - we didn’t try these but ate out several times in nearby Mirepoix, which is a beautiful medieval town. House spacious for 4 adults and very comfortable.

A lovely break away
Although the weather wasn't kind we really enjoyed our stay, the pool was a real treat and great to use. Set in a spacious garden it was always quiet as on the very edge of town. Lavelanet has plenty of supermarkets and a couple of very nice restaurants, would recommend Le Theatre and La Masion. Plenty of markets on throughout the week in the surrounding area. The highlight was the underground river at Labouiche.

Had a really lovely week, house was very clean, comfy and nicely furnished.Beds very comfortable and lots of storage space. The only thing that could have been better was the lighting in the kitchen, just a bit dark, even with the lights on.Pool and garden were fantastic.Great bike track which started opposite Aldi in Lavelanet, really pretty and flat, perfect with 3 kids! Lots to do in surrounding area and beautiful scenery everywhere. The welcome pack was lovely, thankyou.
