Cycle in just a few minutes to either the wide Atlantic beaches such as Rémigeasse and Vert Bois or to the quieter bays on the mainland side near Boyardville. The charming towns of Dolus and Saint-Pierre invite you to stroll around with their shops, markets and lively flair. If you have a little more time, a trip to elegant Royan, the zoo in La Palmyre or the town of Cognac is well worthwhile. The historic streets of La Rochelle and the relaxed island feeling of the Île de Ré are also just an hour's drive away.
