Property is as advertised. Cottage is lovely but it is a bit small, a fact which we knew prior to booking and is workable.. Amenities, cleanliness and decor are top notch. Everything and more we needed was there. Outdoor space is wonderfull. Multilevel deck and seating allowing for sun or shade options is great. Hot tub was spotless and a real treat. Beach access is easy and having the kayaks and paddle boards is a bonus. Location to the Park and restaurants is terrific. We would definitely rebook in the future.

Small nice lake house with a good location

The pictures don't really give you an idea of how small the place is. 2 adults and 2 children were too many. No room for storage of items. Location was ideal though. Very cold at the end of May (at least it was in 2025). Nice private beach. Only major problem, besides the size was the fact that there was no way to reach the host or receive any support when actually needed. At 8pm on our last night the smoke detector started beeping. The detector was located on the ceiling, only accessible with a very tall ladder, which was not on provided nor at the location. We tried to contact the host for several hours, even left a voicemail with what was listed to be their "Dream team" support, which was a 3rd party answering service that did not answer nor did they return a phone call. So, we tried to sleep with a smoke detector beeping in the very tiny house echoing in our minds until the sunrise, when we could finally get some rest in our car on the way home. And we still have not heard back from the support nor the host, 24 hours later. Too bad. Because communication is key and this host failed us.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in the winter. It was very peaceful. The hot tub was super relaxing in the cold weather. The house was very clean. My only complaint would be that the beds are very small and also short. I am 5'5 and with my head on a pillow my feet hung off the end of the bed.

Awesome beachfront cottage

The location was amazing! A small sandy beach right behind the cottage made it easy to access the lake. We stayed there in late August and the water was warm. Use of the kayaks and paddle boards was a bonus. The cottage itself was compact but very comfortable and nicely furnished. Lots of comfortable seating on the deck including shaded areas made it easy to enjoy the outdoors and great sunset views. Highly recommend!

Small but mighty…

The cottage is small but fit my family of 5 comfortably. Great care has been taken to maximize space and storage. Super clean and lots of amenities including beach towels, kayaks, paddle boards, pool floats, and park pass. The private beach was perfect and we enjoyed playing in the lake, visiting the park and eating in local restaurants (we found Kingsville had more selections, but Freddy’s down the street was also excellent). Enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

Amazing beach front lake house

This was the 2nd year in a row staying at this amazing beach front lake house. It is exactly as described. Has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The pictures don't do it justice. Perfect location on a beautiful sandy beach. Very close to Point Pelee National Park and just a short drive to Leamington. I highly recommend The Julia Kennedy Lakehouse! Book it! You won't be disappointed!

Old Friends Getaway

Amazing beach front property

What an amazing lake house! The pictures are spot on! Exactly as described. Very clean and nicely equipped with everything you need. The location was perfect! The beach was spectacular! Literally 15 steps from the large deck with lots of seating and lounging options. We had an amazing time! Highly recommend this property!

Nice waterfront cottage

Very nice place. Super clean and very well maintained. This cottage is right on the water with steps from the deck down to the beach. Be cautious if entering the water as winds can change quickly and can cause some very rough conditions. Walking along the beach to the national park was a great experience despite the strong winds and -13 C wind chill!

Relaxing Getaway

From Central Ohio and was looking for a relaxing trip within 5 hours drive with waterfront views and when Leamington popped up in searches, it fit the bill. The property was comfortable and the host provided everything I needed for my stay from toiletries to spices and cookware. I chose this property because of the covered deck and it being only steps down to the water and it was as the profile presented. I spent time on the deck listening to the waves everyday. It wasn’t the best time of year to see wildlife at the park but it is just down the road and has so many options for those that enjoy outdoor activities. Enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend for a couple or small family.

Would have given 5 stars foe cleanliness but the outside space on the deck is loaded with spiders. All the chairs, tent etc is covered in spiderweb and spiders. Would be nicer if the outdoor space was hosed down before guests come. Other than that the cottage is absolutely gorgeous 😍

Julia Kennedy Lake House

Our stay happened to coincide with Mayfly mating season, which was a real show of nature. Every surface of every single thing was covered in them. While this is not the proprietor’s fault, and is pretty harmless of an issue, potential customers should be aware, as it could stifle your enjoyment and use of the property pretty dramatically. The private beach and water access is obviously the crowning jewel in the property and was AMAZING! The house itself is as advertised, which is to say clean and lovely, but very small. This wasn’t a big issue as we spent all our time outside, however having any more than one child in the space could become challenging for some. I found the current property manager, which for some reason I am not allowed to name - to be somewhat curt, but everyone is allowed to have a personality. Overall, while I don’t think the property fits our needs for another visit, I do think that most people and families can have a wonderful time at this property, and I do recommend a stay here.

Beautiful Escape

What an fantastic vacation. The cottage is small, perfect for a family of three. It was extremely clean and well stocked. The deck and private beach outside is amazing and the sunsets were breathtaking. We will definitely be back.

Tiny but amazing

Very small but really well laid out cottage and beautifully kept up. Plenty of everything that some other places don't offer, like towels, shampoo, tea/coffee, etc. Fantastic location - 10 minute walk to the park. Only thing is the listing says sleeps 6 which is true, 6 people could sleep there, but it would be pretty crowded. I found it just the right size for 3 of us. Me and my family would definitely stay there again.

Nice beachfront cottage with gorgeous sunsets. Bedrooms have essentially no space for clothing so don’t take much! The deck could be amazing but was not well maintained. We loved the paddle boards.
