I was really pleased with our choice of Le Chamois D’Or. It is ideally located near the bottom of the magic carpet and Pioneers chair lift and really is ski in/out. The room was spacious and extremely well equipped with everything you would need in the kitchen. We even had a balcony overlooking the piste. The room did not have a hairdryer so bring one (like we did) if you need that. Also, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The only negatives were the noise at night, lots of drunk teenagers coming down the ski slope at all hours shouting and screaming. The resort really needs to get on top of this, there is a big late night drinking culture. It’s great to have fun, but not at the cost of others who are trying to sleep. They need to fine people or bars who are disrespectful of others. The lobby and locker room is chaotic on change over day - tons of people hanging around, some sleeping on the floor, waiting for their transport. I don’t think the 10am check out helps with this! Finally, the ski locker room is small and cramped and pretty awful in the morning. There are no boot heaters or any hooks or shelves to hang boots or helmets etc. This means your skis drip water into your boots if you are not careful! Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would come again.

Résidence agréable et bien placée.

Residence bien placée au pied des pistes. Commerce , ski shop, bar , restaurants à proximité. Personnel souriant et accueillant. Wi-Fi ok. Un rafraîchissement des appartements serait à prévoir, mais nous y retournerons avec plaisir. Possibilité de réserver son forfait directement à la résidence ( 1-2 semaines avant votre séjour) et de bénéficier d'une réduction. C'est notre deuxième séjour en 2 ans.

Mycket bra läge med fantastisk utsikt och hjälpsam personal. Bra utrustat kök. På minuskontot; sliten lägenhet med dålig lukt, lyhört och obekväma täcken och kuddar. Lägenheten var överlag ren men det var dammigt på flera ställen tex i bokhyllor ovanför våningssängarna etc.

Reasonable price for direct slopes access

We spent a week of ski as a family of 4 in Chamois d’Or. We found the location ideal, right on the slopes and next to restaurants, ski rentals, ESF. The appartement was simple but good value for money. It was quiet and with a nice view. The team was helpful and kind. Two small lifts for a residence of this size is often not enough but it is a small issue really. We would certainly come again to Chamois d’Or.

Great value for money

Reception staff were great, ideal location with ski in, ski out. Loads of evening places close by and hotel restaurant was great. Hotel itself is slightly dated, but has all the amenities and has everything you need for a great stay. Recommend you book parking before you go as it’s limited nearby and this wasn’t explicitly stated before we arrived, so we ended up parking quite far away. Overall great value for money to stay in one of the best Ski resorts. Would recommend.

Ideal Ski In/ Out....

The location of Le Chamois is perfect, ski in / out all season long and the boot room is perfectly positioned on the side of a piste that provides access to a number of lifts and gondolas. Location is also great for bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The apartment itself is a little tired and in need of some maintenance, but is adequate after a day on the slopes, that said there is decent cooking facilities and was reasonably equipped with pots / pans and utensils. Has a nice restaurant attached to the apartments that serves traditional food.

Sijainti on mahtava. Pääsee laskemaan suoraan suksihuoneesta. Mutta on enemmänkin Motelli kuin hotelli. Mahoitushintaan EI kuulu lakanat eikä pyyhkeet, ne pitää vuokrata erikseen. Ja pedit pitää pedata itse ja lopuksi viedä petivaatteet pyykkiin. Huone pitää siivota, vessat pesta yms. lähtiessä. Ja siivous tarkistetaan lähdön yhteydessä. Edes WC-paperi ei kuulu hintaan, vaan sekin pitää itse hankkia, kuten tiskiharja yms. Ainakaan meillä ei ollut parisänkyä, kuten kuvissa vaan sohva, jossa ihan erillinen laatikko jossa voi nukkua. Onneksi meitä oli vain kaksi, koska huone on aika pieni neljälle. Monot pitää säilyttää suksihuoneessa, mutta huone on sen verran kylmä, että monot ei kuiva yön aikana. Onneksi Spar on samassa talossa. Ja kun noi hankinnan tehtyä, niin menetteli.

Heilt greit men noe slitt hotell.

Hyggelige ansatte. 1 uke på skiferie i leilighet. Var noe vond/sur lukt i leiligheten og den bar preg av fraværende vedlikehold. Vegg til vegg teppe som neppe har vert renset noen gang. Tips kan være å ta med seg sengkler og handkler for her må en betale for alt utenom. Savnet skotørker i skirom etter en lang dag i bakken ble det noe fuktig i skoene. Bra med ski in ski out rett fra skirom.
