Snowmobile/Skier Paradise is the place to stay & take off on your sleds and ride

Enter our large pull through driveway, plenty of parking for all of your snowmobiles. Unload, jump on and go hit all of the nearby trails! Down the road is the North Western State Trail which will take you North to Mackinaw City and South to Petoskey. Paradise Lake is less than a mile down the road, which is fantastic for ice fishing. Our 1,280 sq. ft., 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home sleeps 6 comfortably. All of our bedrooms include newer mattresses and linens for your comfort. Our large, well stocked kitchen includes newer appliances and plenty of room to get your chef self on. Also, notice the large fire pit, which is surrounded by 6 Adirondack chairs for you to relax, stargaze, story telling and smore making. There is plenty of cut wood for you to build evening bonfires. Light up the tiki torches lining the yard to help light your way at night. Now you are submerged in a Northern Michigan Winter Wonderland!!

Enjoyed our vacation

Wooded Paradise

This truly is a wooded paradise - we absolutely enjoyed the screened in porch with a fantastic view of the wooded backyard - so quiet and peaceful after our long days exploring the area. The house was a nice size for two families and well stocked with everything you need! Great communication with the host and she was very helpful with information about the area.

We had such a great time. The property is cozy, clean and very easy to check in. The kitchen was stocked with every thing we cold need to cook with and to serve food. We only had to bring ourselves and what ever food we would need. We were a little somewhat surprised at the bear horns (not sure why. Though we are city girls) We did not see any bears so that was a good thing! We were close to Mackinaw City and getting to the island was easy. The screened porch is great place for morning coffee or evening drinks. We highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay again. We struggled with finding the outside trash bin because we realized later (as we were leaving) that the neighbor had borrowed it. Not a huge problem, but we did bag up our trash and separated recycling. We also notified Laura that we couldn't find the outside trash bin, she was very gracious and told us to just leave it for the cleaning crew. Laura was very attentive, there were excellent instructions on the property. Overall a spectacular experience!

Secluded and peaceful

We really enjoyed the location, far from crowds and noise! The screened in back porch was a great place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house was very clean, but there were tiny ants in the kitchen. The ladies also wished there was a hair dryer.

Charming cabin in the woods

The front facade is modest but the interior is very nice. The house has a great screened porch where we spent much of our time. Well-stocked with every kind of household need, and very clean. The managers were also quite courteous and accommodating. Highly recommended for peace and quiet in a lovely setting.

Fun at Wooded Paradise!

Wooded Paradise lived up to its name! The hosts have the house sparkling clean and the woods are ready for fun. There was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax. The air conditioner kept us cool and comfortable. Also, the hosts have plenty of excellent supplies for guests' use. The screened porch was a perfect spot to sit and enjoy nature, or walk on the trails in their woods behind the house. We drove about 15 minutes to Mackinaw City and took the ferry to Mackinac Island. Once there, we took the Carriage Tour, pulled by horses, to explore the island's nature and history. Then we explored the shops before returning. In Mackinaw City we toured the Coast Guard Icebreaker and there was a Colonial Encampment Re-enactment showing us the history and heritage of the area. We also went to the beautiful Sturgeon Bay Beach and dunes, watched a Polo practice in Bliss and checked out the Farmers Market in Harbor Springs. At night the Tikis lit our way to the campfire where we roasted marshmallows under the starry night sky. We had a great visit and will be returning soon! Thank you hosts!!

Holiday retreat

Relaxing weekend with family (5 adults). Cottage very well furnished, very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed and more. Wish we could have stayed longer. This place is really restful. Wonderful location.

Wooded Paradise

If you are looking for a comfortable, well maintained property close to all of the Mackinac area tourist attractions you will be delighted with Wooded Paradise. Located in a very private wooded area, this home offers everything you could want. It is very clean and well stocked with kitchen and bath supplies. The hosts have gone over and above with the amenities offered
I can’t think of anything they missed! The outdoor area is also lovely with a screened in porch, decks with BBQ, large fire pit with wood provided. After our full days exploring the Mackinac area it was nice to sit out there in the evenings to just relax and listen to the sounds of nature. We are definitely looking forward to spending more time at Wooded Paradise next year!

UP trip with extended family from Germany

We had a great experience staying here. The screened in back porch was perfect for evenings when the mosquitos could have just about carried us away! (I hope we didn’t keep the neighbors up too bad!!) It was well stocked with condiments, coffee, jellies, bottled water, etc. We messaged the owners asking where the hair dryer might be, and they said there wasn’t one (which was fine with us) but that evening when we got back there was a new one inside the screen door waiting for us! I would definitely stay here again!!

Labor Day family gathering

The house was just what we needed. The boys loved the google assistant. The backyard with the tiki lights and large fire pit was the best place for unwinding at the end of the day. We all loved it! Would definitely recommend this house.

A beautiful place in the woods

We spent three nights my son and I and three other friends. We get together every year in August for The last 5 years spend some time together playing euchre fishing and just hanging around the campfire. This place was excellent from beginning to end the host was easy and very quickly to contact and get a response back. The house was extraordinarily clean filled with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. I highly recommend anybody who wants to stay at a beautiful clean home in the woods only 15 minutes from Mackinaw City. this would be your ideal spot.
