Disaster from the moment we arrived.
We arrived at the property and called the person we had been advised to, to get the code for entry into the studio. She said she no.longer did the caretaking but knew who did, and she offered to call him and ask him to call us. He did, but we were not on his list of bookings. He would not budge and said we had been scammed. We therefore had no access to the property and had to go back home, a 56 mile journey having been denied access for our 3 day break. Checked my bank details and i had paid for the break. Contacted Cottages.com online asno evident phone number to call. Online chat revealed yes i had paid. It turned out that the owners had changed caretaker and not informed cottages.com. what an absolute shambles still waiting to get a full refund and more i will never use cottages.com again. I will probably not go back ro Lincoln again either because of this experience. Cottages.com claims to be a mber of ABTA which means i have a slim chance of refund. Maybe. I should never have bookedthrough rhem.
