Room [331] smelt stale on arrival and the window couldn't be opened to freshen it, because the handle was broken loose. (We had to sit with the door ajar!) Clean apart from small stain on one duvet upper surface. Quite a walk to the stairs and lift. Restaurant food good, for breakfast (self -serve) and dinner, although paying the dinner bill in the restaurant whilst a resident for B&B is unusual. Couldn't fault the staff, and dinner service had been very prompt! Nobody likes £15 a day for car parking, but that might be avoided by booking at Reception. All in all: few frills, but all right.

Good reception by the lady from Texas. Really nice reception area by the breakfast and restaurant. Lovely view of the Marine Lake from spacious room. Secure parking. Room warm with simple controls. Handy for town centre. I really like this place! A proper upmarket hotel 🏨

Room and hotel was clean and well equipped. The reception staff were friendly. Unfortunately our room was on the 2nd floor. The first night there they had a wedding on and my family could not sleep as there was music playing below us u til 12:30am and the bass was thumping through the floor. We were also on the same level as the fitness suit and any time someone used the running machines you could hear that thumping through the walls as well. Nice hotel but don’t let them put you on the second floor! Especially if they have a wedding on!!!
