Shower issue
On arriving to hotel, was impressed with what we so.
We Checked in at around 3.o'clock
was shown to our room 8 first floor.
Room clean with all we needed.
1st thing to do was have a shower to get ready for our evening out with family. Stepped into shower all fine until water stopped running and went into a dribble so not a great experience. The wife followed me in shower that was still dribbling.
This was reported to manager when we went do stairs, his reply was somebody stayed in there yesterday and never had a problem? Perhaps its water pressure issue. I will let maintenance know.
We did have shower the morning after and all was fine? So perhaps there is a water issue that needs resolving.
Sad state of affairs. Upon arrival a miserable Tom Cruise wannabe, tossing an empty bottle around behind the bar. Had to ask if I could check in as I was ignored. Carpet falling off stairs, dark and musty, all fittings old and tired. Mattress prehistoric and seriously uncomfortable, WiFi very weak, made working painful.
Oh, and no breakfast offering. I would suggest not offering accommodation either.
Really, comfortable, nice room, staff great at check-in but had limited chance to sample anything else as 1 day trip and away early. Getting to Liverpool and back more of a challenge than expected on public transport, especially journey back after 11 so maybe budget for a cab if that's your plan.
OK for an overnight stay. Our room had a view of a shipping container in the yard - not the hanging gardens of Babylon or a herd of wildebeast that we'd hoped for! (The reception staff member was too young to remember Fawlty Towers, so the comment went over his head....).
Had to ask at the bar for glass tumblers for water needs in the night and to hold toothbrushes.
Some noise from Friday night entertainment but stopped at 11pm so not an issue.
