The hotel is situated in the Ljubljana city centre, very close to Kongresni trg and all the local attractions. My room had a king size bed and was very clean. Members of staff were very helpful. Great breakfast and really good evening meal. Great choice of local wines and beers.

Ljubljana and Hotel Occidental are wonderful.

Hotel Occidental is near the heart of the city. It was my wife’s favorite hotel on our 3-week vacation. The staff were wonderful.

The rooms have a strange layout, with doors to toilet and shower but with open sink area. This means that the (movement instigated) toilet light shines into the sleeping area if the toilet is used during darkness which can be disruptive to sleep. The breakfast area is in the foyer area, this means it becomes very loud, especially as the hotel seems popular with groups. When busy the breakfast staff become overwhelmed with dirty crockery piling up on tables and running out of cups, spoons etc, although the food was also replenished. Overall I would be happy to stay for night, but the irritations would put me off staying here again.

Nice little hotel! Very clean and comfortable. Great location, central to a lot of local attractions and cafes/restaurants. We did not try the buffet breakfast as 18 EUR seemed excessive per person.

Wonderful location & a new building. Breakfast buffet was well worth the extra charge. They have an outside patio to enjoy your breakfast or tapas. The tapas lounge offered just the right amount of good quality food. All staff— front desk & housekeeping were very friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend & would come back to stay Should we be this way again. Thank you for everyone
