This bright, fresh and characterful getaway makes a wonderful base for discovering the idyllic landscapes, cheerful market towns and fascinating historic sites at the heart of Powys. The beautifully designed pod is part of a group of similar properties situated in a charming campsite along the shore of the tranquil River Irfon. Anglers will have exclusive access to a mile-long stretch of the river, while nature lovers can spot otters and a wide array of birdlife. Both the peaceful spa village of Llangammarch Wells (2.5 miles) and the thriving market town of Builth Wells (6 miles) are nearby, offering a wide choice of friendly pubs, restaurants and tearooms. Rhayader (17 miles) is known for its motorcycling routes and is home to the Red Kite Feeding Centre. The holiday park sits between the Brecon Beacons and the Eland Valley, both within 20 miles and boasting breathtaking views.
The pod is accessed via a couple of shallow wooden steps which lead you into the welcoming, cosy and cheery open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom. This light and relaxing room benefits from light streaming in through French doors to one side. The peaceful lounge space has a lovely sofa, with a handy dining table to the rear of the room, ideally placed opposite the elegantly designed kitchenette which has plenty of equipment for rustling up a full range of meals. The living area has a comfortable double bed, with the sofa also converting into a useful second double bed. Just off from this room is a refreshing en-suite shower room.
French doors lead out from the main living area and onto a charming enclosed and deck which has outdoor furniture offering an ideal spot for dining alfresco and enjoying the beautiful surrounding landscape. Parking space is available for two cars, alongside puck stands for motorbikes. The campsite has a range of shared facilities, including a launderette and shower block, with paddleboarding, angling and river access also available.
