Delightful stone cottage amongst the palm trees with panoramic views of Locarno and lake Maggiore! South facing sunny property with garden, barbecue area, fireplace and parking. Come and enjoy Palm Cottage, located just a 30 minutes walk from Locarno train station. You will be staying within 1 hour drive from the Swiss Alps and 2 hours from Milan. At Palm Cottage you can truly immerse yourself in the Ticino way of living, relax and experience Switzerland in all its beauty.

The house is on two floors; the living room and the kitchen are on the ground floor, while the bedrooms and the bathroom are on the first floor. Please note that to access the main bedroom guests must walk through the second bedroom.
In the living room a fireplace can be used to provide additional heating while also enjoying the warm atmosphere given by the fire. There is also Swisscom TV where guests can enjoy more than 100 channels. From the living room guests can also access a spacious front garden with a breakfast table.
Additionally, a charming barbecue area with a granite table can be found on the side of the house.
The area is quiet and highly recommended to anyone wishing to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The Piazza Grande is Locarno’s heart, an enchanting square where every year the International Film Festival and the “Moon and Stars” music festival take place.
The Lido di Locarno is a wonderful place for swimming in lake Maggiore, sunbathing in the huge grounds, relaxing in the pool or having lunch in the shade while enjoying a glass of local wine.
Behind the colourful gardens of the Casino, The Ghisla Art Collection displays remarkable modern and contemporary art of international value.
For a nice walk by the lake, the promenade is the perfect place to relax and enjoy an ice cream while taking in the spectacular view.
Finally, the breathtaking view which can be enjoyed from Cardada Panoramic View Point is without a doubt worth the trip on the cable car from Orselina.

From Locarno train station you can catch the number 2 bus (direction Brione s. Minusio, Chiesa) and get off after 10 minutes at Locarno, Pensione Olanda. From there you can walk for 5 minutes to the property.
Alternatively you can drive and park your car in our private space by the house.
