Fine for the price paid. Remote check in instructions were easy to follow, though the lock box in which to drop keys at check out was wide open. The code I was given to access the laundry room didnât work. And bed/mattress was uncomfortable.
Having said that it was very clean, nice to have a fridge and a microwave. And the price made it quite acceptable.
Dreadful check-in procedure. There's no-one there to check you in (you don't realise that till you get there) and they don't send efficient info beforehand so you know what to do when you get there. Waste a lot of time figuring it out on arrival.
Next-door businesses say they have guests come to them every day because people have trouble getting info for getting in and contact info for operators.
When you finally get in touch with them on phone, they blame Expedia for one not getting the info. Er, no.... In over a decade booking via Expedia, never had this problem. It was more like a dodgy AirBnB booking.
I attended a festival in Beckenham Place park, so this was perfect for what I needed - close to the Beckenham Junction exit of the park, cheap and cheerful. Itâs a reception free property, but the directions to the property and entry instructions I was provided were excellent. I would stay there again if attending a festival in the park (Iâd request a different room, if I were offered 112 again though).
Initially given wrong location. Climbed 4 flights of stairs with luggage - keysafe empty. Contacted reception to be told it was a different location! Down 4 flights of stairs to alternative location. Found new location - reception staff offered late checkout as compensation.
One stool with nut missing so could not use.
Bed - one could feel springs when sitting on it so slept on the top of duvet to make bearable. Area around the shower clearly rotten so chose not to use. Generally very poor.
Advertised as disabled accessible...external stairlift out of action, walker had to be left outside of room as bed limited access to the room and had to enter in sideways, lino was coming up, no bin in bathroom, unable to use bathroom efficiently as was too small, informed reception tv not working properly not sorted, bathroom light bulb reported due to being blown not replaced, awaiting to hear back from management as they are not on duty today (Tues 5th Sept). Took me asking three times asking for extra teabags and milk before getting repleshishment. Room cleaned apparantly every five days was there for four days, so will be cleaned 24 hours after depature. Sandra is rather rude and obnoxious too.Hoping for some kind of refund.
Very compact. Too warm with only one rear window opening onto back of restaurant kitchens with fan going all the time. First Toilet flush resulted in a mini-flood in the shower room.
We had a lot of problems in our stay. When we got there, there was construction going on until the evening and then waking us up at 7.30 in the morning. It was constant noise of jack hammers, banging and swearing from the workers. There was debris all over the corridor falling down. There had been a roof when we arrived and the roof had been taken off during our stay. There was also a lot of debris falling in and outside our window. What we are especially not happy with is that the construction workers could and did look into our room through the roof skylight. We were not able to relax, were woken up numerous times and feel very uncomfortable that our privacy was invaded. Contacted the property and they said the construction was out of their control and that they could do nothing about it. Could be nice without peeping toms looking into the room.
