    On arrival we checked in and were given the key card to our room. However it didn’t work so we had to go all the way back to reception and were then told that there was a glitch and none of the cards were working! A member of staff then accompanied us to back to our room to let us in. I know that isn’t their fault, but they could have told us when we arrived and accompanied us in the first place. I saw this happen with other people too. The card didn’t work the whole time we were there. That was a shame because otherwise I would have scored this higher as the staff were friendly and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable.

    Highly recommended

    Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was good and the location of the hotel is very convenient for DLR/main line trains. Very little parking nearby so if you are travelling by car it’s a bit inconvenient. Otherwise a good stay.

    Some areas of the hotel (carpets and stairwells) are in need of a deep clean or refresh. Skirtings and paintwork could do with touching up in some areas. Great staff and location, breakfast really good too!

    It was comfortable and clean with lovely staff. Breakfast was excellent. There was no hairdryer available. I had to check out late because I did not have a hairdryer and the manager went out of his way to find one for me to use. The disturbing fact came when checking in: a person unknown to me was on their system as having made the reservation. My email address was not in their records. Perhaps I have been hackd or had my credit card info accessed. Perhaps you could look into this.

    The hotel was clean and quiet with good amenities nearby however the receptionist at the hotel called Malika was rude and totally incompetent. despite being presented with a booking number and full name she was unable to locate my booking until a colleague came over and found the booking almost immediately. Was also completely unhelpful regarding providing parking information for nearby car parks.

    Only thing i didnt like was the extra charge for wifi and it wasnt always consistent. I was on the first floor andnit was quite noisy from the surrounding pubs but usually they quiet down by midnight. Rain dripping on the window was annoying

    The property was clean and modern, but the windows in our room did not open so it was unbearably hot at night meaning you couldn’t sleep. Staff did provide fans but that only circulated hot air sadly.

    Staff were all lovely, helpful and went above and beyond to ensure the complete shambles Expedia made of the booking didn't impact on our opinion of the hotel. Had Expedia made the payment for the room, had efficient customer service and actually booked the family room required we might not have had the worst holiday of our lives. Thank you Travelodge for trying to make up for Expedia's failures.

    The hotel is conveniently located to the trains and plenty of nice areas to see. The lobby was nice. The halls had dirt or some of substance all over the hallway floor. The rug in the hall room and our room. The walls of our room had some sort of large stains on the wall a red splatter on the wall on rug. The bed sheets were clean but that was it. We used slippers all the time so as not to walk on the floor barefoot. No A/C and you need to pay for internet but that is ok. I would not stay there again due to the lack of cleanliness. Please keep in monday that I travel a lot and have been to many hotels so this not just some random poor review. If they cleaned and updated the building it could be a nice option.
