Lime Tree Bay Resort was a great place to stay in the Florida Keys. The rooms were clean, easy access to the pool and beach areas and pet friendly! I would love to stay with them again!

This is my second year in a row that I’ve stayed at the Lime Tree Bay resort in the Keys and I’d do it yearly if I could. It’s safe enough to even go solo. So peaceful and beautiful. Onsite dining that is good food means you don’t even have to leave the resort. The mini fridge held creamer for coffee and fresh fruit to snack. Stop at the Publix on the way in. Seriously. If you’re hesitant don’t be. You won’t be sorry!

Good stay but noisy highway right out the condos

Check in was quick. We had a room off property at Tree Lime Bay. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were okay. The room had supplies of toiletries, coffee and tea. The pool was heated and area around it was clean. The canal is not fenced off so you would have to keep an eye on small children. The only downfall was that the highway noise right outside the property was very,,very noisy and kept us up quite a bit during the night. I would not stay in the off property condos again for this very reason. Overall a good place to stay at. We were here this week and it being low season the prices were still high in my opinion. We did not have time to check out the resort attached at the main building so can't comment on that. The room walls are pretty thin so we did hear the family next door to us most of the night, along with them showering at 2:30 am which we thought was not very courteous. When we checked out I did mention it to the front desk lady about the highway and the fellow neighbour and all she said was that if the shipping could be in port it would alleviate the semis driving in supplies from the mainland. The neightbour she did not have anything to say about that. She was kinda rude about the whole conversation. The property is nice, well appointed rooms, clean and centrally located.

It was very clean and quiet. Our room had a little kitchen, which was key since there wasn’t much nearby/walkable for food and drink. The pools, the kayaks, and beach area were very nicely maintained. We would stay here again.

Given a terrible room

We arrived early and were told we would be called when a room was ready for us. We were never called. I went back at 4:00 pm when I was told one would for sure be ready, only to find others who were being assigned rooms ahead of us. The room we were given was off-site a couple of blocks away and supposedly the last room available. Our room was directly above the pump room for the building so every time anyone used water the very loud pump went off for a while. This went on for hours each morning and evening. I complained and asked for a different room but they said there were none now available.

Wonderful vacation with my hubby!! Pros: Beautiful location! It’s a nice slow paced area, much different than Miami or even Key West. Nice pool area. Helpful staff. Cons: Must drive to stores and restaurants, nothing walkable except the restaurant at the resort.

we liked the room, however I wish a picture of the actual room we were to be staying in was provided, and its exact location. The pics provided were at the main resort, we were under the impression that is were we booked, not across the street away from the main resort. that part was disappointing.

The wife and I booked a little getaway for a week at the Florida Keys, we researched a lot of places and settled on this resort. Upon our arrival was very happy with the location and size of the room. We received a balcony room over looking the water and beach. Room was well stocked with fridge, coffee, microwave and beach towels. This resort also has many amenities on property too! There are yard games, yoga, kayaks, paddle boards, and a large swimming pool all on site for guests to use. Overall was very pleased with our stay and the restaurant on property was convenient for when we didn't feel like leaving the resort. Would certainly stay here again if we are back in the area.

Worth the stay!

Check in process was easy. The townhouse we stayed in was clean, spacious, well equipped with washer/dryer too and the balcony overlooked the canal which was very serene. The resort also has a bar and restaurant on the property which makes it convenient. Great location. Many good restaurants within 15 minutes. Would stay again.

A typical roadside hotel with beautiful sunset views. First the pros: the view, everything in the room was tastefully renovated and clean. The views were great and the beach area overlooking the water is a nice place to relax. The restaurant next door was fine and convenient. The kayaks and bike rentals were nice... Things could be better: there is not much to do on Long key and it is not super close to anything. The hotel is right on the highway, so I am not sure the balcony room was worth the extra money given that the road noise ruined the experience. We were in the southernmost building closest to the road, so maybe a different unit would have been better? However, the worst part was that the hotel allows smoking, and our unit had clearly been smoked in by the last guest and had a very overwhelming smell which ruined the stay. To make matters worse, the hotel tried to cover up the smell with deodorizer... We had to keep the balcony door open for several hours before the smell was even bearable. While the room had a sign asking guests to smoke outside, they clearly didn't enforce it. I am surprised that hotels still allow smoking in 2025 - and there was nothing on the listing that indicated that it could be a smoking room. If you are going to allow smoking, it should be clearly stated. For what we payed, I was beyond disappointed. The place was completely booked, so there were no other rooms to move to to avoid the smell and the noise...

Disappointed that there was no access to a beach. Yes, you could see the water and there was sand but no way to get in the water. Really expensive for what you actually get. Also ridiculous that they charge you $50 a day IN CASE you break something or take something then you have to wait to get it back. There is also not a lot to do around the place. Have to travel in either direction a ways to find something to do. Florida Boys, the restaurant was really the only place close to eat and they were a bit pricey, but most places in the Keys were also very pricey. Make sure if you do book that get the room you need because there is no elevator to the second floor.
