The windows were weepy and wet. Towels had been placed in the window seal to absorb the moisture. The towels had been there so long they had turned brown. The curtains brown also. It was so bad in Toom 313 that we had to be moved another room

The breakfast was much better than other comparable hotels in which we’ve stayed. It included hot items like eggs, turkey sausage and Belgian waffles along with the usual oatmeal, cereal and pastries. The facility is well maintained and lovely. There’s easy access on and off the main road in Kilgore. My only complaint, from a woman’s perspective, is that there wasn’t a separate place to apply makeup other than the bathroom. There should be a space in the room with a mirror for applying makeup and doing hair. I had to roll one of the ottomans into the bathroom to put on my makeup and do my hair. Because it was a last minute trip, I didn’t think to pack a magnifying mirror. Again, if you remember to bring a makeup mirror and don’t care about monopolizing the bathroom to get your hair done, then none of these will matter. My husband certainly didn’t notice any of these issues. ;-)
