Intimate Hideaway on the Beach

Luxurious one-bedroom casita just steps from sand of the Sea of Cortez. Perfect for a couple looking for a romantic get-a-way or a solo traveler desiring special accommodations on the water.

Imagine being lulled to sleep by the sound of the sea in a king size feather-topped bed and waking to the brilliant colors of the sunrise behind Isla Carmen. Custom designed and hand-built cedar furniture incorporates sea glass and shells along with overstuffed leather sofas adorn the 755 square foot casita. Fully equipped kitchen has 5 burner stove, microwave, Calphalon cookware and granite countertops. Both the interior and exterior bathrooms incorporate hand painted tiles and oversized mirrors.

The front patio is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise with morning coffee or evening cocktails as the sky changes color behind the islands. Out back, a 50’ lap pool and entertainment center with state-of-the-art gas grill, sit-down bar and outdoor dining area. Separate poolside half bath and outdoor showers, along with pool toys, beach chairs and umbrella. In the garage, standup paddle boards, two kayaks, and two bicycles for your enjoyment

Flat screen TV, DVD, satellite cable, wireless Internet, books, DVDS, 500 count cotton sheets and fluffy towels complete the interior amenities. Separate A/C units for each room – including the bathroom – insure temperature control to personal tastes.

A full-time caretaker is on the grounds to answer questions or help you arrange for a fishing trip – with beach front pickup – or a day exploring the islands.

Casita de Catalina is less than a mile from town – a short walk on the beach – or 5 minutes by car from the heart of Loreto. Restaurants, grocery stores, fishing excursion, scuba lessons and/or dive trips, winter whale watching, glass-bottom boat tours, kayaking adventures, hikes up oasis-like canyons and mule rides to local ranchos can all be arranged. A walk on the pristine Malecon, through the historic district and the waterfront Zocolo will further flavor your Loreto experience - truly a "Pueblo Magico."

a jewel right on the deep blue sea!

this beautiful little house is so perfect and so romantic for two. away from town and very private. lovely bed, comfy furniture, great swimming pool. catharine and her onsite caretaker rigo are super kind and responsive. highly recommend ! the view will captivate all day long. we rented a little car from gerardo garcia who was great and that let us bop around town to all our fav restaurants and the grocery so we could cuddle up and watch movies and cook simple dinners. muy romantica.

A chance to recharge.

This was our first experience in Loreto. We talked about it for years and it turned out to be what we expected. A beautiful beach community without the crowds of Cabo. The casita we stayed at was perfect. On the waterfront. Listening to the soft waves hitting the sand. Watching the Pelicans indulge in breakfast.The Casita was great. Detached with a walkway to the courtyard and the ability to just lounge under an umbrella when we wanted to sit poolside instead of the beach. Very easy coming and going without feeling that we are bothering anyone. Our host was extremely quick to respond to any question we would have( which were few). Super quiet and relax full place and location. Walk into town is eazy and had a place to park a car when we decided to explore the area further.

A Magical Place to Stay

We are repeat customers and always find this comfy casita to be a 5-star experience. It's a peaceful location, right on the beach. Such a wonderful and relaxing stay at this beautiful casita on the beach! Catharine and Rigo went out of their way to be accommodating and make us feel welcome for our first trip to Loreto.The morning kayaks, lap pool and of course steps to the ocean were a few of the highlights. Excellent getaway for a couple

With a lap pool six steps from one door and the Sea of Cortez 12 steps out the other door, this is the perfect place for a couple who enjoy the water. Kayaks and SUPs there for your use, with a local fellow available to pick you up from the beach to take you for a day of snorkeling or fishing. Bikes available to ride the 3/4 mile into town for excellent food, or you can walk there on the beach. A true 10 out of 10 place to stay.

Peaceful spot on the sea.

This was a very comfortable casita steps from the sea. We had our morning swim in the gentle waves watching the sunrise. There was everything we needed and desired and the lap pool was a treat. Kayaking in the gentle waters, biking to town and through the Baja desert and walking up many small streets to find treasures. This spot made for a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Paradise

The home and property were amazing. The weather was warm and beautiful. Waking every morning to beautiful sunrises and just steps to the beach can’t be beat. I admit I was apprehensive about having a daily grounds keeper at the rental, cause we wanted our privacy. Rigo was not intrusive in any way and he was a great asset for answering questions. We plan to return again.

We loved this casita so much last year, we returned for another visit. This is the absolute best location to stay in Loreto. We loved being on the beach, watching the sun rise over Isla del Carmen, kayaking from right in front of the casita, falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. Casita Coronado

We enjoyed having sup, kayaks and bikes available, as well as a terrific guide recommendation for trip to Coronado Island. During much of our stay, it was quite windy. That put us inside more than we would have liked. The house is well designed to stay cool, but when it’s windy and cooler, outside, it doesn’t get very warm inside. The area by the pool does get sun and stay warm and pleasant. I’d recommend this house but would probably come a few weeks later, next time.

Casita on the beach

The casita is beautifully appointed and perfectly comfortable for a couple. Hang out on the beach side, enjoying beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Hang out in the pool or lounge in the sun. So relaxing. Quick drive into town. Catharine’s suggestions are spot on. Rigo is friendly and helpful. Definitely planning on coming back. Need to stay longer next time.

A Slice of Heaven!

My husband and I had the most amazing 20th anniversary stay in Loreto for 12 incredible nights. Our only regret was we didn't stay longer. The pictures do not do justice of how great a place the property is. Catherine has thought of everything from robes, to postcards; beach chairs to towels. Her restaurant recommendations were spot on as we expired culinary paradise. Dubie took us out on a boat ride of a lifetime as the dolphins put on quite the show for us. Rigo was also a gem and his lovely wife. This trip was relaxing but also allowed for so much fun as we had the paddleboard out on the water nearly every day, visited other nearby beaches and took a bike ride (or walked in to town). Thank you Catherine for the special and kind surprise for our anniversary! Those strawberries were the tastiest! Also, the bottle of wine was superb! My husband and I are talking about when can we go back as this trip was heavenly (or we seriously need to become your neighbor!) Thank you for sharing your lovely home and slice of heaven with us!

I would've given this place 10 Stars but the limit is only 5 . I had few questions about this trip since it was our first time to Loreto & the Host answered all my questions & added useful recommendations . The Host also provided me with contact information for Rigo & Captain Duvis . Rigo covered everything we needed in the Main Land including pickup & drop off to the Airport . Rigo is highly recommended . Thank you Rigo he's such a wonderful man . Captain Duvis covered everything we needed on the 3 islands . Captain Duvis is very experienced when it comes to sightseeing the Islands Fishing Diving Swimming etc .... Very highly recommended . He even picked us up with his boat from the beach in front of the Casita & dropped us off again at the beach in front of the Casita . We had Captain Duvis for 3 days & he was a wonderful Captain . Thank you Captain Duvis . The Casita is right on the beach exactly what I wanted . The views are spectacular , even from the living room . The pool was heated that's an extra bonus . We used the Kayaks for the sea & the bicycles to go around town . Thank you for our Host for providing to us this beautiful piece of paradise in Loreto & thank you for the information you gave to us for Rigo & Captain Duvis . Will I book this place again ? The answer is YES !!!!!!!
